When you've been dead for 24 hours...

You've only just begun to be dead...

Unless you're me. In which case you get to hang out in a room with a bunch of other dead, kidnapped, and arrested people where you raid the mini-bar and order room service. Then you go out to a party and drink some free Midori Sours, and take lots of pictures...

I'm really sorry, but I'm very tired. I need to get two more files off my Treo for you guys and then I'm going to sleep.

I will post everything that happened to me incrementally on the marrow.

The short story is this...

I was aware of the rules. I was also aware that the rules came about as a result of something that happened which left a bad taste in people's mouths. I remembered Rose mentioning it during the first Project Gateway.

The PMs were aware of the rules to and kept me more or less in the dark up to the last moment before we filmed.

After we filmed, I stopped interacting with y'all here on unfiction and in the chatroom. In accordance with the Unfiction rules. But I did contact Kane on StolenA3 (being an in game site) and took phone calls up to the point I was scheduled to be at the hotel.

On the one hand, I was very excited and I hoped you all would get a kick out of it. On the other, I kind of felt bad, and I was a little worried because I remember back when Wee didn't spill the beans about his notorious phone call with Melissa.

I stood by Wee then for keeping it to himself then, and I still feel the same now. On the other hand, I no longer don't understand that chick on season two of the Joe Shmoe Show feeling so bad. Particularly after all the times I admonished Nisha and Ian for not letting each other know important information...

As this makes me a big fat hypocrite...

But at least I'm a hypocrite with a good sense of dramatic timing. Smile

I already revieled this to the folks in chat this morning but...

At the party I mentioned to the PMs that they never told us who worry is...

Their responce was, "That's for next time."

Other interesting info:
- "Gunter" is actually Brittish
- Trent was in Pirates of the Carribian. You'll know him when you see him.
- Ian hurt his ankle comming over the wall to get tied up and put in the Audi last night... So send him lots of online get well cards!

Thank you for doing exactly what you should have done, and thanks to the PMs for making sure you were aware of the board rules in this respect (though I have no doubt you already knew). Someone asked in chat at one point why your "kidnapping" was deemed acceptable when another hadn't been, and Jamesi rightly pointed out that it was because you weren't still posting once you went fully in-game as a character.

I was happy to see you weren't *really* in trouble, since you continued to login to the forums while you were dead, but I must admit that I was tempted to disable your account (temporarily, of course) for "security reasons" since obviously some nefarious individual had started using it after you died. Surprised Wink

YAY, a compatriot. Wink ... I sure hope I followed all the rules at the time. I was so new I didn't even know they existed. Embarassed

Okay, here's what happened to me...

I've known since the day after Coachella they wanted to use the C5 again. Maybe a month or perhaps a couple of weeks ago I was contacted to do a conference call with Mike and Brian. The conference call was like... The day after the first artical was released by the marketing company (not Chelsea/PMs) giving away the last day of the game. They didn't want to tell me much because they had read the rules. Which was fine with me. But they did tell me that it would involve going up to a studio in Hollywood to film something. And then we talked about computer games.

Long story short, to late, something like last week I got a call from Heather, who was in charge of the Talent (that's me!) called me and I discovered that Monday was the day for filming instead and that it would be at the Viceroy. This worked out better as it actually gave me more time to work on my MBA essays without my having to cancel on them.

Monday morning rolled around and I realised that it ment I was going to have to spend an entire day knowing to damn much before I would be considered "in-game" and people would understand why I wasn't communicating with them. every so often up to the point that they explained what I was there for, I would make note of Heist related thoughts that had occured to me in this relatively "untainted" state. So I would have something natural to say if I was contacted on Tuesday while I tried to work on my papers. Appart from, "I really need to focus on my essays right now I can't talk", of course.

So I get to the Viceroy and I hook up with a PA named "James"... But you all know him as "that guy in the white hat we don't know who he is". He showed me around the building to the back parkinglot and said he wasn't sure if anybody else was ready yet. At this point I see Virgil walking the other way. I nod in his direction and say, "well there's Virgil". James was surprised that I recognised him as Virgil. The idea of following something on the internet seemed alian to him... Silly duck.

More later.
