I'm sure that some people already know this, but apparently there's been a change to the delivery of the packages
Quote:
Hello to everyone who has recently expressed an
interest in The Balance.
The welcome packs to those recently joined should be
dispatched today to UK residents. However, due to
budget cuts, we are unable to dispatch overseas packs
at this time. We are working on an online version of
the welcome pack which can be viewed by all new
members.
Apologies for the bad first impression.

ok so I asked the carer if he thought the balance would kill the 7 if they didnt appear to be cured of their sins and he replied with:
Quote:
I don't like to speculate... but I wouldn't put it past #14.
All the best,
-the carer
so #14 appears to be the one

Ms. Alderman,
Sorry, you don't know me. My name is Richard Moriarty and I've been involved in finding your friend Amanda. A colleague of mine noted that both "the Carer" and Kyle seem to like the animated band "Gorillaz," and we were wondering if maybe there was a connection.
Do you know if Amanda was a fan of this band?
Thanks for your help

I finally got a reply.

Well, it's kind of a long shot, I have to admit. He posted a binary comment on Amanda's blog that translated to the phrase "El manana" (which means "tomorrow"). He told us it wasn't really important. Anyway, El Manana is the name of a song on the new Gorillaz Album, Demon Days.

I must say I have no idea. In what way does the Carer seem to like them?
Sorry for the delay, I just found this in my junk folder, for some reason. No idea why it was there.

I just figured i would post the lyrics to the song "El Manana" by the Gorillaz. Dont knw of this can help or not but the lyrics have some slightly religous tones.
Quote:
Summer don't know me no more
Eager man, that's all
Summer don't know me
He just let me love in my sea
Cause I do know, Lord,
from you that
Just died, yeah
I saw that day,
Lost my mind
Lord, I'll find
Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine
Don't stop the buck when it comes
It's the dawn, you'll see
Money won't get there
Ten years passed tonight
You'll flee
If you do that,
I'll be some
To find you
I saw that day,
Lost my mind
Lord, I'll find
Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine
I saw that day,
Lost my mind
Lord, I'll find
Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine
Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine
Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine
ive also attached the actual song.
Edit: Removed attachment. -SpaceBass

Umm, I'm not sure that we should post the actual song on the forum - I even left the lyrics off earlier because I wasn't sure it was appropriate to put on the forum! Oh, and why is that in the GUIT?
/me looks a tiddly bit confused
Good song though, not great on its own, but great in context of the whole album

after the update email i sent The Carer (interaction thread) where i asked him if he was #18, he replied:
Quote:
Yes, I was #18 in The Balance. There were only three people in The
Balance involved with the operation. Either someone else has been
brought in to replace me, or there are now only two.

well we know its not #20 as i originally asked when we discovered the balance and the reply was:
Quote:
This may be one of The Balance's more secret operations. I don't know: I am fairly low down the leadership ranks.
#20

So we know #18 obviously knew and that #20 didn't. Having a look over the balance intranet again this caught my eye:
Quote:
We have had to move the seven to a new location. Due to the all-access nature of this intranet, I can't disclose where the new location is. However, I did have to move the people myself, as a certain Balance member in charge refused to do so.

So number 14 knew. Its probably safe to assume that #1 knew being the big bad boss of a somewhat evil organisation . That would account for the 3 who knew.
[spec] number 1 is the one that is helping us because he's scared of what his organisation has become. Especially as the carer hinted that #14 was an evil one in an email [/spec]

The carer was #18, #14 is the other underling, and #1 is the only other balance member that knows. #18 is the one that's helping us, not #1.
Oh BTW:
Quote:
I know myself and #14 were. #14 was ultimately in charge of things,
but still had to report to someone else... who I would imagine
masterminded the whole thing. I was never told which member this was.
All the best,
-the carer
it was obviously #1... maybe too obvious? Perhaps another of the higher up members, someone just below #1, is acting against #1?
