For all the people reading this, I must urge you to take a closer look. There is a hidden answer in this paragraph that will lead you to more knowledge. With knowledge comes happiness and peace of mind, and you can continue on your search, perhaps singing a little, or whistling your favourite tune...
<guess>when you say this out loud, it has a certain rhythm, but im a bit tone deaf</guess>

The entire message seems sort of mysterious, worried and more or less formal. But what stuck out in my mind was the last line, about "singing a little, or whistling your favorite tune". It's so unlike the rest of the message that it warrents a second look - but it could also just be a red herring type it's so obvious.
I can't help but feel like I've heard that somewhere before though. I searched lyrics and movie quotes and whatnot, but I can't seem to find anything. Hmm. There's my two cents!

ive counted the syllables: Interesting that the number of words for each sentence is the same(15), except for last bit
Ive tried binary, where 0 = 1 syllable and 1 = >1 syllablle, but got jibberish
111221111111121
111221131111112
121311111113111 (comma) 221212131
counts:
15 15 15 10
totals
18
20
20 , 15
/me shrugs

Well if you take the first and last word you get "fortune".

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Michel Dubois is planning a meeting with his two primary understudies to determine the future of the Balance. I suggest you keep an eye on the intranet for any updates.
Well done guys - looks like they're trying to hurry us along with this...
