name that tune When you grow up with with a last name that no one can pronouce you wind up with people simply truncating your name for you. Then it sticks and it is all over.

well my names Rob, and I live in a village called Rivenhall, so my name was Rob_Rivenhall but that kinda sucked so over time it shortened to Rob_Riv.

DogsHead was the name of the last band I put together, which along with all the others came within a gnats hair of actually achieving something before folding with bitter recriminations all round. And no it's not the UK version, which has got it's shit together enough to actually put up a site.
Like Tangohead I have used it from the moment I realised there was a need for a moniker so they would know who pwnd them.

Heh, mine is kinda funky. I used to be a big fan of The Designers Republic, and they work that they do. I still kinda like it, though my tastes have changed a bit. Anyway...
Designers = Creative
Republic = Embassy
Not an exact fit, but I like it. Also thought that the culmination of many creative processes to create something as large as an immersive fiction was really cool. I hope to have a design team that makes our own ARG's someday, and we'll be called TheCreativeEmbassy.

i have found that a good reason for keeping the same name is not only for people knowing who pwned them but so if you play over many different games there is a chance that a friend off another game might recognise you. if you see tangohead (or other tango-related names eg Tango the summoner (strange - i know)( my guild wars character))
then youll know its me. if by chance anyone sees me on a game, give me a shout!

Atrophied (pronounced atro-fid).
Cunningly stolen from an XBox LIVE user, cause I thought it sounded cool for a self confessed gaming geek like myself. A very cunning stunt indeed . It means the wasting away of muscles due to lack of use. (Such as Uma Thurman at the start of Kill Bill). Basically playing on my ability to sit in front of a screen for (lots and lots of) hours at a time without my eyes bugging out.
/me has been known to go for a 20hr stint of XBox at one time.

Mine is a remarkably subtle alteration of the name of a character from a TV show.
So far nobody has been able to guess who so it must be pretty effective .
