I'm the poetic Fraggle of Jim Henson's rockin' Wink TV show, which I've read was an attempt to bring about world peace. In most gaming situations I'm known as Mokey, but once in a while I go with Ophie, which is my nickname for Ophelia. Cool I'm a sucker for Shakespeare.

Mine was the first ever username I chose - back in about 1997 I tried to join some chatroom/forum thing on this new thing called the Internet and the name Daffy (I was a fan of the duck by the same name at the time) was already chosen, so the thing suggested the addition of 889. Since then it has been my standard numeric addition when the name Daffy was already taken.

When I joined UF, I assumed that Daffy would already be taken since it was a relatively large site, then a while later I discovered it actually wasn't taken. By then it was too late, since I had already posted and didn't want to start again.

Talos was a name i got from a dream. it was a really cool, sleep-dep hallucinational type of dream. Then D'Loristo i took from my brother... Which to me is sorta like Lore Keeper. And i do love collecting various stories, mythosisesisisis, and stuff.... so yeah

in other news:

Mokey was my favorite fraggle.

Quote:
In Norse mythology, Kvasir was the wisest of the Vanir, fashioned from the spittle of all the gods. Two brothers, the dwarves Fjalar and Galar, invited him to a feast in their dismal cavern and killed him. The dwarves mixed his blood with honey and preserved it in two jars and a cauldron. The mixture fermented, creating the mead of poetry. Those who drink it become inspired poets.

Basically he was a know-it-all made of spit who got killed by a pair of dwarves. I liked the story.

I'm sure a lot of you will recognise Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged from Hitchhiker's, an alien who:

had immortality suddenly thrust upon him by an unfortunate accident with an irrational particle accelerator, a liquid lunch and a pair of rubber bands.

He therefore decides to spend his time insulting everyone in the universe in alphabetical order.

I feel like that some mornings... Wink

My name comes from a book that I read when I was about 13
The Last Legends of Earth
Brief Synopsis

Basically an artificial solar system was created, but where the synopsis has it wrong was that there was a wandering planet, that was the key to the system (after a set amount of passes, the solar system would revert to ist original components.

Anyway this planet was called Chalco Doror, which in their language meant "Know where to go". I kinda liked it...

And some of the other names weren't so good... Chan-Ti Beppu? Ned O'Tennis?
