[UPDATE] 02-AUG-05 New Mail from Sente
Quote:
Hello,
It has been some time since I last contacted you. I'd like to thank
you for your patience - as you can imagine, there has been a great
deal going on in Perplex City over the past months.
The most important news to report is that the puzzle cards I have
talked of for so long have now been created. The work has been
produced by a team of seven highly talented puzzle scribes from the
Perplex City Academy.
These cards reveal a great deal about our city and people, through
them I hope you'll be able to piece together the mystery of who stole
the missing Receda Cube and where on Earth it has been hidden. I look
forward to the day when I can present the £100,000 / $200,000 reward
to whomever solves the mystery.
There are only nine stores in nine different cities on Earth where
you can buy these puzzle cards. I appreciate that travel to these
locations may not be easy so I have made sure that the cards are also
available online:
http://www.firebox.com/perplexcityexclusive
I plan to include a note of thanks to all who buy cards but I also
have a little something extra for the first 100 people who place
their order from now.
Your help in cracking the most enigmatic mystery that has ever
befallen our city is greatly appreciated. We will not forget your
efforts.
Sente
Master of the Perplex City Academy

i wonder if the 'little something extra' is the 24 Hours in Perplex City guide (which I got with my firebox cards this morning, as well as the postcard).

I doubt it. It says FRom NOw, and was sent at about 5pm today. What a last ditch attempt to shift the remainder of wave 0.5.

I wonder if my order, placed at 4.30 will be included in this? Shocking timing as per usual.....

Has anyone who has received this letter ordered from firebox?
I ask because I have 2 email addresses on the PXC mailing list, and only the one that I didn't use for Firebox received this email. so I was just curious as to whether this is just a reminder to get your cards online, and the special something is indeed the postcard, travel guide, etc.

I got my postcard and travel guide this morning and the email this afternoon, so i'm not so sure they'd be the 'something extra'...

Mmmmm, interesting. I didn't get this email, but did get all the previous ones. The questions now is do I order? I've just recieved my first batch from Firebox so not sure whether to order more to try and be in the 'first 100 from now', or wait until the second release. I already have loads of swaps in just 48 cards!

I got some 'fried egg' sweets with my order this morning. Do you think they amount to 'something special'?

I don't have a credit card so it's really only for those who have credit cards =/ Someone whould write into Sente stating that he is showing favour to those who use credit cards and that the rest of us are still using 'paper money' =P
