So if the answer is

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And I L U
How is it put into the answer box? With or without spaces between letters, or using . between letters, or no spaces at all between letters? Just locked myself out trying the full sentance and not using the abbreviation cuz it was my third fail on the card. gotta stay up til 4am to wait for it to unlock damn thing.

*later edit when more awake*

God im an idiot. I must have been asleep, cuz i used the letter U in it and not Y, as in txt speak
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
AND I LOVE U not AND I LOVE YOU

god im stupid

I still don't understand where the L came from. I mean, yeah, there's an extra blank, but why L instead of, say, T? With T you could actually make a word.

Don't be silly. "I Tea You" isn't a word.

Can't take any credit for this - my husband got this far without looking at the forums and using t rather than l came up with
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
dainty

Semi fitting with the love letters theme.

He then ground to a halt and so I had a look on here, and gave him some tips and he came up with

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
i l y dan

I kind of prefer his answer!

I did not fail to understand your sarcasm. You failed to understand what I was saying, and my reply was meant to point this out. My point was that you can make a word out of ADINY plus one blank: DAINTY. As far as I can tell, this the only word you can make from the tiles remaining. It seemed to me reasonable to think that making a word was the goal, because that's what you do with scrabble tiles.

In fact, the answer they wanted is not a word. I still think DAINTY is a better answer than the accepted one, because the accepted answer involves guesswork; I can't see anyone concluding "Therefore, if my assumptions are correct, the answer MUST be..." with the accepted answer.
