The 333 and other newbie q's... Okay, noob here, but not for long. Just a few questions for y'all who have been in this from the start:
1) The 333 parcels were all identical (except for the num=let code), correct?
2) The 333 cardset and the E3 cardset have nothing to do with the larger puzzle of the missing cube ... merely a teaser, correct?
3) The 333 have not all responded (or at least made their presence known to the wiki/forum world), correct?
Just trying to catch up.

1) Correct.
2) Correct (we are currently assuming)
3) Currect, but enough have responded that we could guess at the missing letters, which were later confirmed by Sente's message on perplexcity.com.

Thanks, Bri --
-- a nagging thought: haven't the latest ARG's been cross-promotional tools (for AI, Halo 2, Stella Artois, Audi par example)? Who's to say we aren't all part of some giant marketing ploy? Or do we not worry about such trivial things and just shut up and enjoy the ride?

It's been speculated on ad infinitum - look here .
All we know for sure right now is that one of the members of MC (who was the guy on the Culture Show feature but who's name I can't remember right now) is also a firebox guy. Perhaps that's the only sponsor and the rest of the cash is going to be raised by card sales, though personally I doubt this and suspect there's someone else with loose cash and a desire to get a part of something 'underground'. But basically, we don't know for sure.

Enjoy it! Keep your hands and arms in the vehicle and remain seated until it comes to a complete stop. Watch your head when exiting the vehicle, and if you do not watch your head, then watch your language, as there are children present. Cermane Ser Centavos Por Favor.
I've played some commerical ARGs and some grassroots ones. They can both be equally fun. While, yes, many of the recent ones have been marketing outlets, there's no telling what current ones are and what future ones will be.

so fFar -- and i say this very tentatively -- this has been an arg whose promotional motive is only itself. It ties commercially into itself, and the product is only the ARG. specifically I am referring to the cards. It's a fFairly unique model. Commercial ARGs sell something very specific. Grassroots ARGs tend to sell nothing at all. This one only seems to be selling itself.
Enjoy the game? Go buy ... the game.
(But then, this is not a game, now, is it.)

yeah... i don't know what it is about MC's desire to make one, but it makes me shudder.

Possibly the fact that, at the rate producing the cards took, it could be stuck in development hell for a half decade ?!
