Bible Code

Those rectangular holes cut into the pages of the bible were obviously code. The style seems vaguely familiar to me but I can't remember where I saw it. Anyone else ever seen anything like it?

code

The rectangles look like the punched holes made by a keypunch machine--these were used for entering data in computers way back when. The keypunch operator typed in the info, the machine translated it into punched holes in a rectangular card, the cards were fed into the computer and the computer "read" the coded data.

That's also, I believe, what some old pianos use. Atleast, the ones that're supposed to play on there own.

I don't remember the scene that well, but it dawned on me that it might be morse code. I just saw dashes though. I dunno.

I've spec'ed elsewhere that this might be an overlay for a grille cipher. We would need to be given an image of the specific page in the Bible it would overlay, or conversely, the page from which the specific words were cut out to make the holes.

I've seen spec'ed elsewhere that the holes are similar to the notches on the Watermark Consolidated website.
