I'm pretty sure the wording clearly rules out "mornington crescent", but unless it exists off map, it's not on the system anyway...

However, under the rules of MC as played on ISIHAC, we really need to apply to the refree for a judgement on this. Or just put in any old station by using the most modern of all variations, the so-called "Jenkin's Spoliate" system

How's Scarlett overdressed? She's wearing jeans and a T-shirt!

I see jeans, and what looks terribly like a black bra! Just commenting on the odd outfit...

Looks like some sort of team supporter t-shirt to me. Picture of a cat, banded collar....

Sheesh...I hate to reduce everything to a discussion about clothing and artistic renderings of parts of a young girl's anatomy...but if you look closely, it seems like what Scarlett is wearing is a cami - top type thing, with a cat's head (?) serving as a sort of decolletage on the front. The cat appears to have ears which extend upward over the top of Scarlett's breasts (oo - er!), but because she's sitting down, her body is positioned at a funny angle, and because the cat's head is black, it's not easy to see it folding in proportion to her body. So, it actually looks a bit like she's sat down in a seat with a weird black thing superimposed on top of her. That, I think, is what's going on. It's a low cut top, for sure, but not an overly revealing one, I don't think. In fact, to my mind it's a bizarre combination of modern dress with something that's reminscent of what women in the 18th and 19th centuries tended to wear - those Perplexian fashions, eh?

I think that because we have tended to assume that Scarlett is a bit of a winsome, childish slip of a thing that we have (how can I put this delicately?) been...surprised to discover she possesses rather more in the way of 'feminine charms' than we'd estimated. But, actually, it seems like the artistry is just a bit approximate most of the time. That's not to say I don't like it - it's cracking - but Von, for instance, looks rather more macho in this card (I think) than he does in the one where he's hanging out with Caine and Tippy (where he just looks like Woody Allen in a T - shirt!). I actually think some of these scenes are great - the way that the static figures are allowed to tell us so much of the relationship between the characters (I really love that Caine - Tippy - Von one). So, I guess in this one, both Scarlett and Von are in relaxed mode.

BTW, this seems to go a little way towards suggesting that maybe Scarlett's crush is on Von...then again, maybe he just plays Buttons to her Cinderella, and she really wants a bit of rough like Caine, or someone...

I think I better stop now; I'm getting far too interested in the romantic lives of fictional characters Smile

Meh, I still think she's wearing a goth-y black choker, a cat shaped bra and has a stump for a left arm (where is it?!?)

But that's just me... I really cannot see a tee there... hey ho...

Actually, Jeb, you're sort of right. She is wearing a choker, and I don't think it's a T - shirt. It may be more of a bodice, now I come to look at it. But I maintain that the cat is on the front of the bodice - it's not her bra. And I find it hard to credit that I'm spending so much time on this. I obviously need to get out more. Laughing

If you look closely, you can see the difference in colour either side of the black strip. It's a cream t-shirt.

Meanwhile back at the puzzle. Wink

I think that this may be a play on words, my suggestion would be

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Clapham common (clap 'em, come on). This explains the spontaneous round of applause from people overhearing.

After all the rule don't say they have to be PC stations.

Mornington Crescent tube station is near the old Black Cat cigarette factory, hence, maybe, the t-shirt.

I thought Black Cat made fireworks. Wouldn't like to get those mixed up!

I'll admit that I'm completely confused by this game. However, having played that internet version for roughly an hour, i've decided that the way to win is to say Mornington Crescent first. But you seem to be able to say it whenever you like, except the first turn. However, the computer alludes to the fact that you can't say certain stations if your opponent has just said another one. Such as: I say Tuffnel Park, which means that the Computer can't say Regents Park, but can say West Acton. I'm going to find out how these relate... it's just too confusing a game to ignore.
For reference: Tuffnel Park (Northern Line), Regents Park (Bakerloo), West Acton (Central)
