may i advise using the "Alternate Transverse Tactics" for beginners -- it may bring some success
you could then progress to the "Ascending Verticals"

As if Bubble & Squeak weren't enough, you Brits put this "Mornington Crescent" game into the world as well? I propose a tax! Of some kind. Actually, I think I'm going to dress like an Indian (the non-cow-loving kind), sneak onto a boat, smash crates of Perplex City cards and toss them into the ocean.

If it's a war you want, it's a war you'll get!

Ha ha ha ha ha! I just thought I'd stir up a little mini fracas.

But on the note of having no sense of humour, Jeb ... this little "strategy game" Mornington Crescent seems little more than a Semi-humourous Lex-ercise.

Wouldn't the correct answer to this card be ... any answer to this card? (excepting already-mentioned station stops of course)

I don't know. The Simpsons? That's funny. Clown Sex? That's funny. Mornington Crescent ... well, prove me wrong. Wink

PS - I love you, Jeb and I want to have your babies.

After all the rule don't say they have to be PC stations.

The card says that "The only difference is that we use stations from the Perplex City subway system."

I don't think the answer can be Mornington Cresent as the card suggests the move after the one we have to guess is Mornington Cresent.

If some cards can have multiple solutions (mentioned today in special card thread in general section - with link later), then we'll probably be able to enter any station from the subway system.

Um, I mean, using the Triple Crown oblique offensive maneuver, one should be able to sneakily circumvent any opposing moves for three turns..and clearly use Grand Frederik's Station for the win.

I agree. I think the purpose of this card was to hilite Mornington Crescent and its absurdity. I'm personally going to try Grand Frederick's Station.

What if Scarlett's "inspired move" was DOWN STREET given that it's written on Von's T-Shirt? That would be pretty inspired... see you're all looking at the cat on her boobs aintcha? Because the subway map only lists the Central Stations after all...

As the subway map only lists the Central Stations, are there more we can work out from the map on the backs of the cards? I noticed a symbol on one, a blue circle with dots on it. I then saw it on the Website for the PC Subway system (which isn't very helpful by the way).

Maybe on the card map, there are stations marked that fill in the gaps???

ok my understanding (if you can call it that) of mornington crescent is that someone starts with a station then the next person has to choose a station that can be reached from the last station and eventually you make your way towards mornington crescent station. So i'm guessing that in perplex city we need to find the station that is the mornington crescent equivalent so unlikely to be called mornington crescent or it would not be a very hard puzzle. I think we will only be able to solve this one when we have more of the map.
