Meltdown

meltdown (melt�down) n.

The phenomenon of an Alternate Reality Game being unexpectedly cancelled before it can conclude, leaving players, who have invested countless hours and effort, twisting in the wind.

Ex. What? What happened to Search4NoahQuest? It suffered a meltdown.
