[PUZZLE] New discovery on Puzzle Card #41

On Puzzle Card #41 - http://wiki.incognitus.net/ppc/index.php/Prototype_Number_041_Hex_Set

on the right edge of the card, to the bottom of the word search window, there is a watermark with the number 9 and a diamond shape.

Catfurnace mentioned this in the "I have a parcel" thread, but I fear it has been buried and forgotten. I figured I would make a new puzzle thread for it instead of posting in the "solved" Card #41 thread.

so maybe 51 of the ppc cards will have a card on them. or this is a hint to solving the 'mini-game' on the whippysmartice site.

where you click on the little cows and the cowgirls. maybe Smile

edit: whoops Catfurnace mentions it here also thnks yanka Wink

still merits discussion for more finds.

This could easily be a meta-puzzle across cards. We'll have to keep our eye out for more suits once the real cards start rolling in.

Looks to me like the 9 of Diamonds from a pack of playing cards. I suspect we'll find it to be a 'metapuzzle' as jbd mentioned. Since there are only 52 cards in a pack, I can't see how they'd stretch them all on to 333...

...unless we're supposed to grab a complete pack of cards and do something with them...

...or there's 52 playing cards, 2 jokers, and 279 Bridge Scoring Cards...

Haha Very Happy

Is it not possible that they'd arrange cards into groups, perhaps which all have clues relating to the same puzzle, or something like that? Maybe there are 52 of these meta-puzzles?

Also, at the top 15% of the card you can see the bottom portion of two letters in about 144pt type. Looks like "E" & "A".

muhahahahaha

but at the same time the bit with the bottom half of the letters is the top left hand corner of the 4 card set (as in it has a border, those edges arent supposed to match up with any of the other cards in the orange hex set)

so maybe the 9 diamonds thing is going to be something to identify which other cards we place this one next to, to read the watermarked letters? i think there might also be the top of some more letters at the bottom of the card but its hard to tell if thats just different coloured grass or not.

rach =)

I don't see the colored grass in my scans - but I think the card-joining options are weird. If there is another orange card to the left AND to right of #41, it would complete the watermarked letters, but this would not follow the colored-border theory of 4 cards to an Orange Hex Set. Each set may join in different orientations.

Anyone know why this milkmaid is not working?

Well according to the man on the whipsmart site, "Those milk-maids are a right handful"
