#190 - Some Assembly Required

No text on card just diagrams in the style of flat pack instructions...

Well I've built it (not physically obviously), and it looks like.... erm... nothing..... but then this is a purple so it's not going to be as easy as putting the thing together.

Oh, and one other thing that suggests it's not straight forward... there are only 20 pieces of dowling but to fit it together as you would think, it would need 24 pieces.

Anyone got any ideas - hints (I've tried getting Vons hint but not had a reply yet).

I'm having exactly the same problem as you padge. For what it's worth Von's hint is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Two of the larger pieces only have holes on one side
but if you've already built it then that doesn't help much Confused .

I really liked this card. If you'd like a hint:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The object that you build is not important in and of itself. Instead of looking at it as a whole, look at each face of the object, or more specifically, look at four of the faces.

Yeah, I've just got it (5 minutes after locking myself out for the day Evil or Very Mad ). It is a clever one.

I looked at what I had built out of post it notes and said

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
those look like letter on the side... but I couldn't figure them all out, but its a puzzle, so i tried ----, the answer

Loved this one. Got 4 hours of sleep last night and figure it out in 15 minutes of cutting and taping.

Now that is a clever trick. I'm still sure whoever designed it didn't include enough small dowels, though. (Oh well, that's what you get for buying cheap flat-pack furniture...)

And I see Von's hint is as useless as always - assembling the thing is fairly easy, and he hints at a really obvious way of figuring it out.

Edit: Mine was paper and Blu-tack, for the record.

I've not solved this card yet or tried to build the object but it looks like 4 of the "small dowel holes" are green while the rest are black, this might explain the shortage of dowels?

Hmm, Personally I think this one is a little ambiguous. Heres a hint-ette :
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ignore the gaps and holes in whatever it is you have built...

Wow! I just got it!

The thickness (or lack of thickness) of my post-it notes was what threw me off.

Great card!
