BriEnigma, elsewhere on these forums you said this:
Quote:
You know--the other postcards had the same message, but now that we have cards released, and specifically a card that mentions gatehouses, I have started thinking. The "twice daily" thing sort of reminds me of a clock. Also, the mention of gatehouse 1 and gatehouse 12 bring to mind clock faces. It may mean nothing now, but might be useful for a future puzzle.

surely this means something here?

Dunno if that helps Razz

Showed this card to my Dad yesterday and straight away he said "So Sinister goes left and Dexter goes right...."
"Whoa whoa whoa," I said, "What makes you say that?"
"Because Sinister is left and Dexter is right. It's heraldry" He said, as if to imply "What, doesn't everyone know about heraldic terms and coats of arms?"

So I Wikied up Heraldry and whaddaya know?

'Dexter ("right" in Latin) is the left side of the shield, and sinister ("left") is the right, as seen by the viewer.'

So maybe the clock-hands theory needs to be revised.

Isn't that exactly what she said? That is what I based my calculations upon.

ACK! Sorry, I misunderstood what everyone was talking about and thought you meant clock hands both moving in the same direction as they normally do, not that one goes one way and the other goes the other way. I guess I'm eating fish for tea.

Dear Bri
I think you were closer with your first calculation. Assuming these are clock hands, travelling in opposite directions and that the hour hand is going clockwise, and the starting time is midnight:
The hour hand travels clockwise at 0.5 degrees a minute
The minute hand travels anticlockwise at 6 degrees a minute.
They approach each other at 6.5 degrees a minute.
They will meet each other in 360/6.5 = 55.38 mins
They will meet for the seventh time in 387.69 mins or 6h 27 42secs
This is only 1 sec away from what you said.
However you then thought it must be 5 27 because that would normally be when the hands were in the same position on a clock face. However that would be if they were behaving like normal clock hands, travelling in the same direction.
So I think the answer, if we can assume the above is 6 28am. It would be the same time, but at the counter position on the clock face if the hands' directions were reversed

I have tried entering 6:32, 6:27, and 6:28 as solutions and none were accepted. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

Maybe we have to assume the hands are travelling in the same direction.

Yanka was correct in that the hands DO work like a normal clock, rather than one going in the opposite direction.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The answer is 7:38.

Maybe they want us there at the right *second* too, and also need AM or PM? Confused

Was convinced I knew the answer on this, and typed it in. Wrong. Tried again, one minute either side, wrong, wrong. Checked on here, realised I was in fact right, but I'd put a dot in place of a colon.

Silly European upbringing... now I'm locked out for 24 hours....

BB? Maybe another player in the Cube theft?

21 to 24? Gatehouse numbers?

4? Gatehouse number?

C? My money is still on Sarah Covington (and all that talk of "shoes" still bugs me)
V? We know this one is " a true believer" and pretty nasty
K? The Advisor
Q? Bernardo Holyoake

Got this one today and spotted the text by complete luck. It reminds me of an email header in a way, 4: C,V,K,Q being the recipient, (For C,V,K and Q)

Sorry, thinking allowed also, I do like the use for another card theory though
