[INFO] Packages Well, they said you'd get your packages today.
C'mon folks, all of us guys abroad are dying to hear what you got.
Soon as you get 'em, post and give scans if you'd be so kind.

Got a Royal Mail note through the door this morning saying i had a parcel to be collected - It hadnt been delivered as the postage was underpaid!!
Went to the Post Office and paid £1.05 and got my package.
Inside is a welcome letter, Background info on the Balance and a page detailing the Ways of Life. There is also a CD and from what i can make out this has been added after postage - hence the under payment.
This is the first file from the CD - ill post more shortly.

Right, my package has arrived. It was delayed because it was short on postage! Damned #18 shoving extra stuff in! The contents were 1 letter and 1 CD. The letter is transcribed below:
Quote:
Welcome to
The Balance
Congratulations on your decision to join The Balance. From the dawn of time, the planet Earth has been governed by the concept of balance. Here at The Balance, we believe in maintaining this balance by following God's will and living life as it was intended. The Balance is not about what is morally right and wrong. It is about ensuring that our actions do not interfere with the natural way of the world. God created everything with a specific intention in mind, and it is not down to us to decide how the world works. So we make sure that the equilibrium is not maladjusted, and that everything and everybody works together in harmony.
As a member of The Balance, it is your responsibility to contribute to this harmony, and to live your life in the way God intended. You must do all you can to maintain peace and equilibrium at all times. The Balance can genuinely change things, but only with your continued dedication and commitment to this way of life.
Once again, congratulations on your decision, and thank you for joining The Balance.
Quote:
Background
Still a relatively new organisation , The Balance was founded in 1984 by Christophe Dubois, a well-known Parisian spiritualist at the time. Dubois believed that the world was in great danger from its own inhabitants, and that the people of Earth were straying hazardously away from the balance which the planet relies on. As such, The Balance organisation was formed.
In 1994, Dubois died aged 68. His son, Michel Dubois, studying Theology in Liverpool, took over the legacy, recruiting many more people to the cause. After finishing his course in 1996, Michel Dubois relocated to Leeds, where he established The Balance's official headquarters. They remain at this location to this day.
Right now, The Balance has over 500 members, residing beneath a leadership board of 25. To avoid any problems arising from this hierarchy, the leadership board remains largely anonymous, referring to themselves and each other only by number, arranged by ranking in the organisation. Michel Dubois is #1. This stretches down to #25, the latest addition to the leadership board.
Quote:
The Ways of Life
There are three rules, or 'ways', that members of The Balance abide by.
Way 1
God intended for humans to live in peace. Members of The Balance must be at peace with themselves and each other at all times.
Way 2
In order to keep this peace, members of The Balance are advised to practice at least one hour of calming meditation per day.
Way 3
The Balance, despite its informal and equal system, does follow a certain hierarchy. Members of The Balance should not interfere with this hierarchy.
Abide by these , and live your life in the beautiful, harmonised way God intended, and you will help make the Earth a more wondrous place.
Any typos are my own, this is a very well written bit of prose
CD contents to precede, I obviously took the longer bit first and was about to be trouted!

Nothing on my envelope but a big red cross through the "postage unpaid deficient postage" sticker, my address, a first class stamp, a slight tear at the back from the CD and a very smudged (Bradford?) postmark.
