Phone number in ads?

Last night, we were discussing the possibility of a phone number being presented in a combination of two back to back commercials right at the end of the push episode.

In a Law and Order promo, the number 702 was prominently displayed on an office door. 702 being the Clark Co. area code in Nevada.

Then, in a Toyota ad, an obviously digitally inserted license number was displayed on a car: 255 387T

After checking that 255 is a valid exchange in the 702 area code, I gave it a shot, calling 702-255-3878.

A very nice lady answered the phone. She is not in-game, so please don't call her.

Nice spec, though, and very sharp eyes by Diandra.

255-387T

You saw that in a Toyota commercial? In my notes, I have that as the license plate in a close-up during the 4:00-5:00 shopping rush in downtown Push in the last episode, shown when someone was tossing a boxed cordless phone purchase into their car trunk and closing the lid.

After that came the walk down the street past the Spanish antique store, which had a phone number in the window:
56?-989-4562
It was very hard to read on my VHS freeze frame.

I wrote down that the area code was 562

The Tag

Just to clarify...

Only the 702 was digitally inserted (in the Toyota ad and promo). The tag appeared on a Toyota when the Sprint phone box went in the trunk.

Sorry, my mistake. I must have misunderstood where Diandra said the second number came from.

Regardless, you can put that particular phone number to rest. Smile
