They've emailed me back to ask me why I want to know. I decided honesty was the best policy as I could think of no credible subterfuge.

Fingers crossed.

russet.

As we seem to be having a number of problems with the 888 barcode maybe we shoudl think about whether it is actually the barcode we want/need. As someone has pointed out the background to the card is interesting, and does in fact look like a 2D barcode. It may be worth considering whether this is in fact the 4th barcode.

Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datamatrix for further ideas.

It's a semacode that decodes to the website thepathofleasttime.com - see the first page of this thread for details. This isn't the first time we've seen one of these so we can make sense of them pretty quickly now.

some news

A response! Very Happy

We now have a manufacturer name, so that should help. Here is the email I was sent:

Dear Ms (russetmantle)

I apologise for the delay in replying, I need to check with superiors for advise.

The company is a local food manufacturing company.

Name: Tee Yih Jia Food Manufacturing Pte Ltd
Specializes: Manufacturing of spring roll skin pastry

Best Regards

I have now emailed Tee Yih Jia with the obvious query. Once again, fingers crossed.

Smile

If the direct e-mail approach doesn't work, it would be worth visiting a Hoo Hing store in London as 'TYJ spring roll pastry' is on their product list.

i used a programme called barcode descriptor and, like the rest of you, got a company called hoo hing for the 50 barcode. but i also got contact information for a man named chris poon? anyone else tried this.

for the 88 barcode there was a "parse error" (yeah, whatever that is) and an email address to report it. have emailed but not heard back yet...

don't think it's important since we've all gathered it's a stir fry thingy but whatevs.
