Concurred! Great background info there, plus lots to look forward to. Can't wait.
Most shockingly though, for 8 months I've been saying 'A-R-Gs' (emphasise on each letter) instead of Mindcandy's 'ARGs'. Same kinda thing as 'Receda' I guess...

well that was impressive, and reassuring. Seems they have planned for a long term based game, which could work very well especially with a growing online community based solely on the game, merchandise, and lots of mainstream goodies. I think the story has enough intrigue/power to carry it.

Enig: Michael said "Args" while Adrian tended to say "A R G s"- i guess it's just a personal preference thing, like adVERtisement or ADvertisement.

It looks like the tribute posters have been unveiled at ARGfest, if not yet online, so let me share a digital version of the Perplex City one with everyone...

What d'ya mean by tribute poster exactly?
Also has anyone got the webcast, as I missed it and would really love to see it

There were a number of posters made for ARGs of the past (and.... err... present.) Addlepated has some (all?) of them in her gallery . This was the one I made. Maybe Rose can fill in a bit more of the detail, as I am not sure which posters were made and by whom.

Rose posted the poster-makers here
and look! there I am in the gallery ('jigsaw solver' in blue tanktop). hopefully more pics to come - I was thinking of doing a small writeup over here since I didn't get to meet any other hardcore PXC players at the fest. I don't think. Though meeting Adrian, Michael, Andrea, etc. was certainly exciting

Kudos to all the poster makers.
Brian, your poster is great!
There's a message in the coins. And since no one else has posted about it. Let me put it here for posterity.
(I used this site to identify some of the coins, and assumed others by their markings.)
Numbering the coins from left to right..
1. T urkey (?)
2. H ong Kong
3. ?
4. N etherlands
5. K orea (?)
_
6. Y ugoslavia (that's Nikola Telsa )
7. O man
8. U nited States

9. M exico
10 I ndia Republic

12.D enmark

Unless whomever made the stock photograph hid anything in there, those are just randomly placed cubes of chance.
Awesome work! All of those guesses are absolutely correct. Many of those coins are old and no longer in circulation, some (for instance the Tesla one) are strictly commemorative/collectable. The third is Australia. If you look carefully (it's hard to see unless you already know it is there), you will see a kangaroo and a large bird (emu?).
Do you know how hard it is to find stock photographs of coins that will successfully blow up to poster size?
