[UPDATE] The Scarlett Kite, 15th July 2005, 'Photos!'

A whole bunch of cool photos today! Firstly, here are some photos from PlayLounge in London, at which the first puzzle cards were sold. The man who bought the first one is called Reason. Hi!

And some photos from the Mind Candy press party on Wednesday night. It sounds like it was an amazing party - I wish I could have been there. As well as being full of interesting people, they had wall posters of some of the cards, and everyone was having fun solving them together. I'm so glad you guys understand that one of the most fun parts of puzzle-solving is the teamwork!

Anyway, Mind Candy held a competition where everyone had to collect and solve lots of puzzles to win a "Playstation Portable" - a sort of games-dedicated key. In the end, a girl called Jess won the contest - she's one of the original 333 people who received that gift parcel from my dad. I guess you really deserved that leitmark! Smile Sigh, now I really wish I'd been able to come to the party...

Jess is on the left in this photo, with the people who helped her get all the solutions - well done! And here's her leitmark!

The card she found toughest is here:

If you have any photos of Perplex City cards being sold at the eight other stores around the world, I'd love to see them!

I really thought they'd be like Magic: The Gathering cards. These.. these are cardboard monstrosities.

AWESOME

Yeah, I sort of thought that as well. I posted some thoughts in the -META- section, maybe card size is worth a thread.

Yup I was there- was a great night, lots of free drinks, food, a poker table and puzzles and games aplenty. Though I was taking too much notice of the booze to spend any effort puzzle solving!

Perplexcity launch party/Firebox summer catalogue launch dual action drink and puzzle (drizzle, punk?) fest. Apparently. Oh for a swanky job with regular punk drizzles. Mr. Green (I think this one means jealous, well it's green anyway)
