Thanks so much Dave for arranging this. And thanks to Abacus Video for their high quality work for us. Without them, we wouldn't have had the webcast, which made a huge difference to us, or these DVDs. I know a few people who sat glued to their monitors to watch the festivities. When Jane put up bagsbee's link to the ilovebees site, they were just as surprised and happy to find axons as the people here in NY.

I wonder if Abacus expected when they joined the ARG community they were launching a not-for-profit branch? Laughing

I am still waiting for AVP to actually start posting on the forums. Or maybe even talking in chat. Next puzzle with video or sound in it - you guys are on it. Wink

PS. I haven't forgotten about the ARGFest T-shirts for you guys at Abacus. I am just waiting to get the correct sizes - which may not be until September. I am following directions. No one gets a T-shirt until the boss gets a T-shirt. Very Happy

Why is it that everything always changes just after you go ahead and post about it? Oh well, in this case, it is good news.

Thanks to the great folks at Abacus Video, the ARG Fest DVD will now be a two DVD set, so as to include as much as possible of all the original great footage. And, oh yeah, it will still be the same price. That's right, two DVDs for $20 (including the shipping). Now how can you pass up that offer? This means that, besides the great price they've already given me to produce the DVDs, Abacus will be donating the additional cost to make the second DVD, making Rose's comment about non-profit even more fitting.

BTW, it looks like the original 40 copies I estimated are going fast (approximately half spoken for already) but don't worry, as I mentioned before, I have access to 80 DVDs in total if the demand is that high.

As far as CC goes on my photostream, I don't mind if anyone uses them, I just want to know about it. That should be the license on them, I'll check later and fix it if needed.

What's up? I often read all the posts and although I do not chime in, I do feel as though we are a part of the ARG community.

As for the ARG Fest DVD I had a sneak peak and everyone should be VERY HAPPY Wink

 		ARG Fest DVDs Shipping
Good news!

The first batch of ARG Fest NYC 2005 DVDs have been shipped out and people should start seeing them as early as tomorrow in some cases. I am sending some more out today, which will pretty much wrap up all of the pre-orders and free copies being sent to PM teams who made presentations at the Fest and the people who helped arrange it all.

Speaking of which, if you fall into one of those categories and still haven't sent me your mailing address, please do so asap. Some of you sent me emails saying "Sure I want one!" but never included or followed up with an address. Either PM me here through UF or email at the address set up for it argfestdvd at daveszulborski.com with the mailing details.

BTW, anybody who wants a copy of the 2 DVD set from the New York City ARG Fest this summer and hasn't ordered or reserved one yet, there are still copies available at:

I think Abacus Video did a great job and that you are going to really like the DVDs.

One last thing, the DVDs also make for a nice introduction to ARGs on both a grassroots and professional level (and academic too actually, with JaneGonigal's great presentation included as well) and I've had a few people in the marketing profession ask me for copies to use to help spread the word about ARGs within the professional world. If you know of any similar cases, where the DVDs could be used to open doors for the genre as a whole, please let me know and I'll see about sending them a free copy too.
