[SPEC] Methusalabs IG/OOG?

Ok, following on from a conversation in the original thread on drug trials for Dexitramman, as to whether Methusalabs, and the drug trial is in game or out of game:

Nanoaging.com is another site that mentions Methusalabs, and anti aging technology, and the whois data for them is:

Quote:
Registrant:
The NanoAging Institute
xxx Radisson apt. xx
Trois Rivieres, Qc g9a2c5
CA

Domain name: NANOAGING.COM

Administrative Contact:
Despres, Jonathan jonanoSPLATgmail.com
xxx Radisson apt. xx

CA
xxxxxxxx
Technical Contact:
Despres, Jonathan jonanoSPLATgmail.com
xxx Radisson apt. xx

xxxxxxxx

Now, the Nanoaging institute is mentioned on a zillion websites so... I don't know about this one. I think that perhaps Methusalabs IS in game, but they've gone about establishing themselves in the game VERY well.

I don't see anywhere on nanoaging.com that methusalabs is mentioned... can you find a link or page reference for that?

IMO, methusalabs is most definitely in-game, and I think we should be paying it more attention... particularly the Ribbons for Hylie campaign?

I emailed OperatorSPLATomnifam.org asking if Methusalabs was in-game....that's not cheating, right?

He/She/It replied saying that they only disclose information on business associates on a need to know basis (in retrospect, I was a little too agressive...I was asking if it was Rambaldi related, etc.).

So I think it is ingame because that's like the equivalant of "no comment" in Hollywood, and that usually means "it's true"

Yes I believe this site is game, and that the ribbons for hylie is tremendously important. If you look at all there drugs, they appear to be something a field agent could use, such as a short term adrenaline boost. Not to mention the fact that if someone was actually creating a drug that extends life so greatly, it would be getting a lot of press. As far as the ribbons for Hylie go, notice that the ribbons have "FOR Hylie" written on them. Now why would every one have For in all capitals. Only explanation I can come up with is: Followers Of Rambaldi. Don't know why though.

If the www.followersoframbaldi.org site was still up, I'd be jumping on .org/hylie.html

As it is - maybe the clue's in the odd name itself?

Hylie's an odd name, and one I can't find a meaning for - but it looks related to the Greek word "Hylic" - "of matter" This level of thinking (one of the three aspects of existance) deals with the lowest portion of human nature. The world and the instinctual drives with no sublimation."

*edit* - tried hylie.html (and htm, php, etc.) as well as "forhylie.html" etc. over at followersoframbaldi.com - no luck

Anyone notice that all the page names at methusalabs are six digits numbers?

Methusalabs - Dexitramman Clinical Trial

OK, so I am in the process of "forging" the various requested documents and forms for the desitramman clinical trial. I am still very wary at some of the information requested and do not want to send in anything remotely personal and truthful based merely on the possibility of identity theft or worse.

As I do this, I am also replying to Methusalabs, voicing my concerns.

In the meantime, I figured I'd check and see if anybody here has actually "joined" the trial and if so, what has been found?

I tried to sign up, but they never emailed me back (seems to be a lot of that going around for me in this game... Sad). But anyways, they probably just didn't believe my fake info and stuff...

I did as Karl suggested and submitted my own picture of a "FOR Hylie" ribbon. I got the following response:

Quote:
Thank you for supporting this brave little girl! We have forwarded your picture to Hylie's people. They'll be thrilled to hear from you.

Maybe that'll lead to something...? As for the name, I was thinking maybe it's an anagram or something. Some possible partial words from Hylie Atkins could be "key is" or "link." One possibility was "key is lah int" which made me think of an airport code, like LAX International Airport. I don't know what an airport would do for us, though... *shrugs*

Given the new op, I think it's safe to say Methusalabs is In-game. Also, someone sent in a pic of a Hylie ribbon and got a link to here. www.forhylie.org

Hmmm...

The emails are suspicious to me.

Yeah I noticed that. Also, they were talking about it being a "miracle" and how Methusalabs had to provide the drug, it wasn't like a mainstream drug or something. It kind of leads to the idea that the drug is some Rambaldi green goo (you wouldn't understand if you didn't see season 3). Which would explain why Omnifam has a deep cover agent in Methusalabs and why they have formed a partnership.

Hmm, speaking of the e-mails on that site... There's one from FaithInHimSPLATxxxxxxx.org. Could the xxxxxxx=Omnifam? They use a .org e-mail, and it's the right number of characters in length. I assume they replaced each letter with an X and not just a default number because A) they're all different in length and B) the first one, gramma4725SPLATxxx.com, just HAS to be aol.com. LOL And the next one could be hotmail.com... I don't know what we could e-mail them about, though.

Oh, random question... The Followers of Rambaldi = bad guys, yes? Does the mission with the datacard mean we're giving info to the bad guys, since they seem to be connected with the FOR? I'm a bit confused as I don't watch Alias.

I've read the other topics but a lot of information that the operatives gained isn't fully revealed in the topics. Is it possible for everything to be put up in a Wiki or Newbie topic so others can jump in as well?

Ursos -

Am so glad you solved that e-mail address! Hope you don't mind but I have e-mailed him. When i saw his e-mail on forhylie.org, it immediately made me think of Father John, who was investigating Omnifam in that letter we recieved.

Hope this leads to something

I tried to set up a wiki, but I didn't know how...if you could explain how to do it, I'll compile it!
