Street Wars NYC

Just ran across this site and thought all you New Yorkers that are sick of the hot weather might have fun getting soaked by strangers! Unfortunately, you have to be a resident of one of the 5 boroughs to play, so that means us people on the wrong side of the river are left out Sad

I hope so aswell...I would like them to bring the "team" version.

I think that my roleplaying group would make a good team.

What a fun and awesome idea. I live nowhere near NYC, so it's not a good game for that reason Wink but otherwise, awesome!

This seems like a really cool idea... I was trying to explain to my mom how cool it would be (she and my dad are moving to NYC after I graduate high school, next year) but she disagreed, saying of their slogan ("Live in fear") that we already live in too much fear.

And *cough* after reading about the Congress-y stuff to try and strengthen / make permanent parts of the Patriot Act, it's harder to disagree with her. [/political]

But seriously. Cool idea. Razz Smile

Tell your mother to calm down. It's a WATER gun. Worst thing happens: you get damp.

I can stay safe, all I have to do is stay at home with my shotgun pointed at the door. If it rings, I FIRE ON THE BASTARD!!! Damn, It was a kid selling cookies. Oh well, I'm still under my 5-a-week maximum. [/Paranoid American Impression] Flaming Nutter

It sounds a bit like that 1982 movie "Tag: The Assassination Game", but I guess that just makes me an old codger for remembering it ... ach well.
It also sounds like fun. But on the other side of the Atlantic, as usual Confused.

We used to play killer at university in our rpg club.

After having a look at the NY rules it seems fairly similar - name out of a hat and then you could 'poison' their drinks, 'shoot' them etc.

It would be easy to set up in an office!

Only problem would be the water ballons by the water cooler.

Haha that'd be great - ambushing someone as they're giving a presentation.

sounds similar to "Dart Wars" which they do in my town, where theres 2 teams who try to eliminate players of the opposite teams by shooting them with nerf guns... and the only way you can be invincible is if you where nothing but a thong Razz
