Ok, this is up for discussion until the end of August. A possible/probable venue is the Ha Ha Bar, off Oxford Street. They allow under 16s until 6pm, so it's suitable for all ages. It serves food so we can be there for a while. It's in a central location, so most can access it. It is available for hire. Check it out here . It is also near Oxford Circus Tube Station.
Currently, the event run schedule (changeable, and you can opt in at any point) would be: Purchasing cards in Playlounge early in the afternoon (ish), heading up to the Ha Ha Bar, Mind Candy give a talk and a welcome, people can ask them questions, followed by informal conversation and card trading amongst the attendees.

Thoughts?

I'd love to come, but unfortunately my finances don't stretch to visits to England at this time.

Would someone be willing to record the event (audio/audiovisual/etc) and post it somewhere for all to see and enjoy?

Thanks for the heads up. Can you think of anywhere near to it that allows kids, has function rooms, and serves food? Please let me know. But I'll keep looking.

Sorry, didn't realise how crabby that sounded. Seriously, I want suggestions.

I'll make a new topic with an attendance list. Also, if you know the right people it can be quite easy. Just to let you know, it will probably end up being the Ha Ha Bar, it does have to be paid for, and the function room won't be as bad as the bar!

The Haha bar is tolerable, but not for a prolonged period of time. There's a good chance I may have to rip the throats from the brezzers addled proles who usually convene there. It's a perfectly reasonable bar but there really are more salubrious places in the world. However as it's during the day there will be fewer ergh-heads than normal.

In summary: Hooray.

We might need to keep reciting a list of those throughout the day

Define 'ergh-head'.

People who have appearences, mannerisms, characteristics or indeed heads which make you go 'ergh'.

What's the date of the final test, does it coincide with this event? If so, a TV is required.
