 		I think we where almost there at the end as well, I'd started to take a look back through the 3 Ads and counted the occurences of the individual symbols but couldn't link them with an order. If we just had a little more time I'm sure someone would have solved this.

Pretty gutted that we where on the right track at the end by taking a look back at the beginning but we where definitely on a loser with all that flash code shenanigans, spent hours trawling through that as well!

Oh well, definitely nice of Stella to put us in the picture, trying frantically to solve this now.

As far as I can see from the 3 ads there are the following:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Office Ad:- 17 Butterflys(On Wall), 6 Flames(Outside), 1 Dog (On Door Sign)

Crossroads Ad:- 1 Raven(On Telegraph Pole), 1 Snake(Round Devils Leg), 1 Trident(Infront Of Wood Sign)

Airfield Ad:- Nothing?


Any advance on this? Not sure on the distance yet but we know Butterfly is 4th furthest away from stella.[/spoiler]

Honestly im not sure. the crossroads, it that a snake on his leg?

Or is that his devil tail?

regardless this leaves us with 0 or 1.

if its zero its furthest away at infinate.
If its 1 than id say thats the closest symbol. closer than the
trident by a very very small bit.

 		xar - can you try and group your posts because it makes it quite hard to follow what you're trying to say otherwise?

numbering and ordering is nowhere as easy as i suppose the PMs thought it would be!

if we accept that the butterfly 17 flyer was a hint from the PMs or really in game, and not just a hoax, then that leaves us with 3 symbols closer to stella, and 2 further away.

from the outside:

1. raven: 1 on the crossroads picture
2. hound: 2 - the bookends. i can't see any dog on the office door, and i'm actually not 100% sure of the bookends either.
3. butterflies 17
4. flames 6 on the office picture. unless we count a 7th one on the airfield picture, in which case flames are actually the closest to stella. (unless the devil has a snake for a tail). and does the trident air flame count?
5. trident 1, crossroads picture. or can the lamp in the office be considered as a trident as well?
6. snake 1 - crossroads next to the crate. im still of the opinion that it is the devil's tail around his leg, not a snake. unless he has a snake as a tail. (and could there be a snake among the apples in the office?)

obviously this above does not work.

 		Buh, there quite clearly isn't Wink I see only one unless it's riiiiiiiiiiight in the distance and the image I have doesn't show it.

And xar, please try to contain yourself if you're going to post multiple times! Have a think and do one post with all of them Smile Either that, or register and then you'd be able to edit your post to add extra thoughts.

 		my take
Airfield: fire 2, on the cases; trident 1, on the plane (don't see why some say it's a flame...); star 1, on the contract (or 4 if you count the bottles)

Crossroads: star 1, on contract (or 2 if you count the keg); trident 1, against sign (could be 6 or 7 more if you count the phone-poles); raven 1, on the pole; snake 1, under signpost.

Office: butterfly 17, on the wall; fire 6, outside; star 1, on the contract (or 4 if you count the bottles); dog 1, on door though not clear (bookends don't look like dogs at all; more like a cat and a dragon); snake 1 or 2, on doorhandle; trident 1, lamp (could be 3 more if you creatively count the chimneys outside...).

Does anyone recognize the painting in the office? might be a lot more there, but I can't see it clearly enough to make out anything.

As to near and far: 1 Star, 2 Fire (airport), 3 Snake (crossroads), 4 Trident (crossroads), 5 Dog (office), 6 Butterfly (office), 7 Raven (crossroads).

As to frequency: Star in 3 ads, trident in 3, fire in 2, snake in 2, raven, dog, butterfly all in only 1.

My line-up would then be: Star, Trident, Fire, Snake, Butterfly, and for the last 2 either Raven or Dog (one each, in one ad).

And just to add to the confusion; one could say that the signatory could be counted as a butterfly as well... making it closest to the star/Stella...

Searching thru the forum is rather impossible right now because of sheer size of it, so forgive me that I only just noticed that the left wrist of the signatory in the Office appears to be slit...

Ah well, that's just my take anyway.
