Crossroads ad Ok…I'll take a shot at the crossroads.
One raven on the pole, one trident against the sign and two snakes…one is coiled at the base of the wooden sign post the other is at the base of the bush behind the man in black. If you want to count his tail as a snake then there's three.
Trivial stuff - this is almost certainly the intersection of 110th Street East and East Avenue K in Lancaster California. It's also the same view as Webcam Day1 with a few additions and deletions. I think Mr. Veltman "Photo Shopped" in the raven and took out the annoying telephone lines that run below the power lines. It does make for a better shot.

The reason I know it's a tail is because while searching some ages ago for information on Olaf Veltman, I came across an interview that explained the pictures. It stated that it was a tail. It also went into detail about the other items in the pictures..Like the fact that the telephone poles are crosses, (the windows in the office also form crosses, upside down ones), and a few other things. It told how they went to great lengths to make the office one..for instance that's a real Oil factory through the windows. I went searching for that site again last night but couldn't locate it. Now I'm kickin myself for not bookmarking it or something sooner...
I think this is the article you are talking about...

Yes! That's it..I found the PDN website but for some reason it wouldn't let me search anything without being a subscriber. This is the info I was looking for:
More Signs From The Dark Side
A road sign reads: "Devil's Peak: Fifteen Miles."
Another reads: "Horn Church Road."
Hissing rattlesnake.
Sign on office door reads: "Director of Acquisitions."
Hooves, anyone?
Office windows form upside-down crosses.
Telephone poles, forming 3 crosses, look suspiciously like Calgary.
Black raven on telephone wire.
Logo on plane reads: "Inferno cargo."
So that is a snake at the crossroads.
Thanks for locating it

We know it is a tail as it is recorded on HWAU's description of the Man in Black . However it is known as his serpentine tail, so whether you count that as a snake or not is up to you
The rattlesnake is the one hidden behind the bush. I think this is the only snake visible in the picture (excluding the tail obviously).
In case anyone is wondering what the painting in the office is, it's Faust and Mephistopheles by Eugène Delacroix.
Of course, I've been over all the details in these pictures hundreds of times and yet it's brought me no closer to the answer even after trying the "solution" handed to us by Stella!

Have to agree with you there Wishi, I've tried lots of different combinations using the solution they gave and haven't even had a sniff.
It's hard even with the solution to guesstimate what stella have chosen from each of the pictures to represent each of the signs.
There are still plenty of variables in what we choose to represent each of the signs. (Chimney Stacks, Telegraph Poles Etc)
So far we only have 2 definates, the raven and the butterfly, we also know the position of these 2 symbols for sure.
Flame is either 6, 8 or 9 maybe?
Snake is either 1, 2 or 3 maybe?
Trident is 1 or many if you count the poles and or chimneys
Dog is maybe 3 but no one can be sure.
I'm starting to give up on this, I can't get down to London anyway as I live in Manchester so I wouldn't be applying for the tickets anyway, but like many others I just wanna know the solution.

Using a tribonacci sequence here is my best guess:
1 - Raven
1 - Trident
1 - Snake
3 - Dog?
5 - Star?
9 - Flames
17 - Butterfly
Cardinality might be (from closest to furthest):
Star, Snake, Trident, Flames, Butterfly, Dog, Raven
or
Star, Dog, Snake, Trident, Butterfly, Flames, Raven

Solution I posted ages ago but everyone ignored me!
Registered and tested my theory.
The correct sequence in size order of largest to smallest is:
Raven
Hound
Butterfly
Trident
Serpent
Fire
The number of times each symbol appears in the press ads:
Fire - 8
Hound - 1
Trident - 1
Raven - 1
Serpent - 2
Butterfly - 17
It passes back this message:

One off, just one. Oh, if only I had got the fire number correct. Why put a flame in your logo if you don't wish it to be counted!

Xar, I wouldn't worry, everyone appears to get a unique code so there must be some random number of tickets up for grab.

Well done that person... finally it's done.
So, I've ordered my tickets to go and see
Donnie Darko, plus a live performance of the Donnie Darko, score by members of the National Symphony, Orchestra featuring an exclusive appearance by, composer Michael Andrews
Saturday, August 6 at 6:00 PM
at Buck Hill, Kensington Gardens
The tickets are only worth £5... for a film i've seen about 4 times already.
I might not bother going.
