[NEW] maefamily.info & Stevie Mae's blog So it seems that the Mae Family has had a website for quite a while now. In fact, little Stevie Mae (Cordelia and Steven's daughter) has her very own blog , going back a whole year!
There are three small puzzles on it, because Stevie knows her puzzles well! They are:

Mommy had to work today again. She's so busy with her new job here. She told me that her job is very important and that she'll be around more next weekend. Me and Daddy worked on a puzzle today...

I wonder if Mommy can figure that one out!
This one goes like this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's simple binary to ASCII, translating to "I miss you mommy". Awww.
Number two:

I'm getting pretty far in my puzzle book. I've learned all kinds of neat things. I bet I'll be able to fool Daddy with some of my new codes! I'm gonna give him this one...

That one's solved several posts down.
And numero three-o.

Ms. Crappert Day. She's smiling a lot today. It started after Dr. Bronco called her up on the phone. I think Ms. Crappert likes Dr. Bronco! ctri anpg pien ratt nrbe reok nics ossi intg! I'll tell you more later...
This last one solves like so:

Take every other letter and you get: "Crappert 'n Bronco sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g!"

There's another thing that may or may not be a puzzle (I hope so, I spent far too much time figuring this out :() a few entries down. There are several links to pictures with money.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
images/green.jpg : Thailand (google satang)
images/oxen.jpg : Rwanda (duh)
images/knot.jpg : Denmark (kroner -- not many other people use kroner)
images/sun.jpg : It looks like Osmanya (1970s Somalia) but honestly I have no clue.
images/shield.jpg : Sweden (google the motto)
So far it doesn't spell anything. :(

We figured out the sun.jpg currency:

I recognized the script as Armenian, as I had found an Armenian tombstone for LCP and used it as a small favor. It's an Armenian 200 Dram note .

So the money could spell DARTS? Is that where we are headed with this?

Aha! I was wonderingwith the aid of Wikipedia, if there wasn't something else. Guess that shows how much Norwegian I remember.
TRANS seems most, um, sensical.

It is indeed from Norway. Czech Republic also has kroner though, which would have spelled CARTS... isn't that too bad?

Few comments about Stevie's blog:
1: At least at one point she treats her diary almost as a real person.
Quote:

I just snuck this message just so you wouldn't be worried. Gotta go...
November 21st, 2004
I finally got ungrounded. I missed you sooooo much diary
2: Something must have happened to Stevie and Martha Crappert's relationship between Dec 11 and Jan 3. In the beginning of the diary, Stevie always calls her Ms. Crappert, but after January, it's always Dr. Martha.
3: It almost seems as if Stevie's timeline of her arriving at the station is messed up (or possibly it's just the way she is writing).
Her first post is on September 17th, 2004
Quote:
Hi diary! My name is Stevie I'm almost 8 years old. Today's my first day on the space station. It's kinda creepy, but kinda neat at the same time. I still don't know my way around, but Daddy is going to show me around tomorrow. He's been here awhile already. I'm still getting used to my new apartment. Mommy thinks it needs a "woman's touch", I just think it needs some decorations. My room is sorta small, but I have all kinds of neat gadgets to play with. The best one is my dog Raidar!
First off, she says she is almost 8 years. Why does the Mae family homepage, and the top of her page say she's 9? If she's not 8 in Sept 2004, then her birthday in Feb 2005 would be her 8th.
Second, she specifically states this is her first day. Steven has been there for a while already. She doesn't say if her mother had been at the station for a while. So, if Sept 17, 2004 was her first day, then what's up with this post?

Mommy had a special cake for us tonight. One year ago we arrived on the Station. Mommy and Daddy have been very busy since we arrived. The last time we had a special dessert was my birthday last year.
I could understand if it was the 1 year anniversary of Steven being on the station, but she doesn't say that, she says since we arrived .
4: A few people she mentions:
George - works in the cafeteria and makes her hot dog and cheese omlettes
Ryan - I'm guessing one of the other children on the station. He shows Stevie some money that he got from his folks.
Cecelia - Cordelia's sister. Lived in Mississippi and was evacuated to the Astrodome when the hurricanes hit.
Dean Illia - wears a toupee

I'm sending Davina an email praising her artwork and commenting on her dreams. I'd like to see if I can learn anything more about them. They truly seem rather scary, I know I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep after that "stranger watching" one, which makes me really wonder what that one she won't describe is.
