Yes, but it would kinda be disturbing if FLmutant used that as his avatar.

I don't go in for this "milk in my grits" business, but don't even think about serving me pancakes unless there's a heaping pile of chocolate chips in 'em.

I am tempted to post my corresponding HaxanMike photograph of what he looks like when served pancakes sans chocolate chips.

Hey, you'd have done the same had someone tried to pass off blueberries as chocolate chips in YOUR pancakes, right?

Blueberries, imagine that nonsense! ARRRRGH my blood boils just THINKING about it!

There's a place here in Austin which specializes in gingerbread pancakes. They also have some delish sour cherry pancakes.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, sour cherry pancakes. I'm hungry. I'd settle for Waffle House.

EWWWWW!!!

If you're ever in Door County, WI, be sure to stop at the Cookery for breakfast.

Best. Chocolate. Chip. Pancakes. EVAR.

Can I just have the chocolate chips and skip the pancakes?

Blasphemy!

That's like asking for Milk Duds without caramel, or Snow Caps without sprinkles, or Raisinettes without raisins -- it's just senseless, I tell ya!

Screwy

I dunno, chocolate chips are okay in other contexts. Like Tollhouse cookies, for example.

Also, I have a friend who attempts to cure winter every year with chocolate chips and peanut butter. To the best of my knowledge, she hasn't yet succeeding in driving it away before March at the earliest, so it seems to be a gradual cure, but who am I to say it's not working?

By the way, can I ask you an unrelated AotH question?

Sure, you can put chocolate chips in cookies, muffins, cheesecake, all kinds of things, and they're great. But by themselves.... I'm just not feelin' it!

Now, Chocolate Chip Cookies VS Chocolate Chip Pancakes -- I'd have to call it a draw.

You bet!

Clearly you've never been in desperate chocolate-fix-needing straits.

I have to tell you, at moments like that, chocolate chips will do. I almost stooped to eating Hershey's once Embarassed but now I keep my house stocked with single-source Colombian chocolate, with its coffee undertones and nutty grace notes...

I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

Thanks (and mods, if you feel this should be elsewhere, feel free to move it). Seeing as I wasn't one of your players, I didn't want to be this stranger bombarding you with random questions...

<deletes entire paragraph>

Shocked Silly And I just happened to check my gmail and you've magically appeared at my blog and answered the question. Thank you! Freaky psychic PMs... Very Happy

So they just left it out. Rolling Eyes

Geez. Every single person -- every last one -- to whom I describe the concept behind ARGs is like, "Hey, that's a really cool idea!"

They often follow it up with qualifiers like, "if you have time to do that stuff," or "as long as people don't take it too far," but I've never heard a person say, "Eh, sounds dull to me."

So one wonders why it wasn't interesting enough to be mentioned in a reasonably-lengthy article. Oh well, I'm trying to cultivate my ephectic side today, so maybe I'll email the reporter and ask politely before writing another blogrant.
