Silver Card Trading?

I have two Elucidates and looking to trade for any other Silvers (except the Sz Cube).

Those Silvers are stupidily rare, I've worked it out to be 1 in 8 packs, anyone come up with a better ratio?

I didn't get any silvers in 20 packs, but then a few of those packs were completely identical, so the random number generator definitely isn't that random.

Lets hope that the order of the cards in the packs wasn't significant!

So far I've gotten 12 packs. They contained no silver cards, only 3 black cards, and only 4 purple cards (3 of which were #171 Witch Script).

I bought all the packs from the same store (Games of Berkeley). I wonder if the distribution would be different if I bought some packs from different stores?

Hopefully Mind Candy is using this first set of 66 cards as a test to tweak their distribution algorithms a bit. It seems like silvers and blacks should be a little more common, and reds and oranges should be a little more rare.

From Bri's post it seems it's so hard to get silver cards that duplicates are near impossible, and it's tough to find someone to trade them with.

They should also try to avoid full duplicate packs. It's really disheartening when you open up one that's identical to one you opened up a few minutes before.

I hear ya! Out of 8 packs, there were no silvers, and only one black. Also, 3 of those packs were duplicates, with 2 of them being identical! Out of 48 cards, 21 were dups. Yeah, I was disappointed... but I got over it, and just ordered 8 more packs today. AAACK! This game is going to break me!

So far, I've gotten one silver out of 32 packs.

Wow! I feel lucky ... I've gotten 2 silvers in 10 packs. Of course ... my Syzygy Cube card isn't looking so hot anymore.

I bought one of those 4-packs from firebox and got a silver in the last one - Shuffle

That's extremely discouraging! It's bad enough I got 21 dups in my first order of 48 cards, but if the next batch doesn't look any better, and I don't get a silver again, I give up! I can't afford this lottery, and no one wants to trade a bunch of lower cards for a silver, understandably... Well, *one* trader did, but he's a rarity!

I've been lucky, I guess...two silver and three black in twelve packs. And now that I've said something, I won't find any in my next shipment!

I agree about full duplicate packs. I ordered 8 packs from Firebox, and the last two I opened were exactly the same. Trade fodder is great, but not when you can't easily obtain more cards.
