I dont have all the images yet but this is the final layout of
the cards.

The top set is what we had, up to ISTOLETHECUBEHELPME...

I have put xxx in place of blank spots.

Im thinking though, with the card layout we have so far
we might have enough data to figure out the final message.

Some are missing letter pieces like the snowflake one.

Still need images for, 037, 071, 103, 131, and 163.
And if possible a better image of 002, 003, 007, and a 223 that
actually show some letter pieces. If you can confirm no letter pieces
on your print let me know that as well.

Oh, sorry, I should have posted this the other day after it went up on the wiki. I got a preliminary arrangement of the cards how I'm pretty sure they go together from the jaffas world pics. Some still could use better scans, as the letters can be quite hard to see.

Anywho here it is. * Warning: the page the thumbnail picture links to is a 800KB *pic.

I think I'm going mad trying to read the message tho, as what I see just seems silly. I don't want to say what I'm seeing so I can get an unbiased pair of fresh eyes to say what they think it is.

there is a 3 of clubs on card 193 three thousand words, but the letters in each corners are so faint i can hardly see them, let alone trying to make out what they are! hope this helps, dont no how it will but oh well.

I've spent a while photoshopping in the letters using the image from the wiki. A couple of card images are missing, and I've guessed a few wave 4 shadings (but that's what they are, honest folks, after you stare at the typeface for long enough, you know what the letters look like)
The Message I get is:

Surely that last E is an L, giving THUNDERCLAP?

It cannot be a coincidence that Borges referred to a book called 'Combed Thunderclap' (or in the original Spanish, Trueno Peinado).

yeah, you're right. There is no middle bit on that card (NAND), so it is an L.
