I know I've been rather MIA lately, but I'm feeling the need to comment on this clan messiness as well.

I was surprised to come back online after a month or so of inactivity to find that E^3 had swelled in size and that there were a lot of folks playing that I did not know. As someone else has mentioned, there are people coming in who never followed ILB and don't really understand this community from its roots. Granted, we have adopted some folks(Woody) and they have integrated nicely; but as I recall, the reason I joined this clan initially was because I wanted to stay in contact with the community and have fun with them. I could have joined a clan with some local buddies; but I didn't because, like most of the original E^3 folks, I could care less about rankings and clan matches with trash talking thirteen year olds.

Now, as far as making staff and what not goes, this disscusion is silly. Obviously, there are folks that would like some more control and in our humble little community, we have done well without having a bunch of chiefs and few indians. I will agree with another person's assesment that adding someone to the clan just to do a quick clan match is unnessesary and a little bit of a nusiance. I think one should either be a member or not; not jumping in and out of one clan or another several times a week or month. I also don't see the benefit of always having a staff member online.

I would like to see us stay together as one group who came together last year and became friends through an unusual medium. That is the core of EvadeEvadeEvade. If people forget that, then I don't know how much longer I will keep coming back on XBL. Just remember folks, we're all friends here, maybe even a family as Melissa once said, and this is only a game. We shouldn't be fighting over it

Look, if AtDt can switch the clan so the invites make the invitees peons automatically, then do that fer chrissakes, this solves my problem, which was the only reason I brought up staff in the first place. Sheesh, this shouldn't have been blown into some huge place to rant and rave about things. I just didn't want unwanted people being able to mess up the clan.

Right, now no one can invite anyone to Evade, that fixes the problem, really, it does...*dripping sarcasm* Not only did you not help the problem I had which I was nice and respectful about, you made it worse, good for you guys.
I don't know which Staff member did it, or if AtDt did it, but really, that's not exactly helpful.
Oh and ditching Tsuki tonight too, that's just really giving me all kinds of love for you guys. Nice, when I thought I was finally done with all the highschool drama, I get it online from people who should know better. Don't get me wrong, I respect each and everyone of you, but in the past couple of days, your guy's responses to the simple request I've had isn't really helping that out any.
I've been playing with you guys for 6 or 7 months or something and even if I was just a follower of ILB, and didn't get to answer any payphones, I'd think that would be enough time to earn a little bit of respect in return. But really, I'm not feeling it in the least.

No, I asked, nicely, and was returned with ridicule and sarcasm by some people.
There were only three people who actually answered that specific request with any reason other then, "I don't care" and that was Super, Coffee the AtDt. Most people just started talking about how I'm some big rank whore.
So Jinx, really, the insults don't help any discussion, Have I insulted anyone? Did I belittle any ones opinion? No, I actually agreed when I saw an answer that would fix my problem.

I have a hard time understanding how there are staff problems when we play a good ten to fourteen hours a week. There's staff on nearly every single evening, which was why people rendered your request with such stark criticism and ridicule. We didn't need anybody else. And forgive me for my misinterpretation, but making remarks that are "dripping with sarcasm" sure seems like whining to me. You're telling me to leave you alone when you just came out to gripe about us putting change into effect when that's what you griped about in the first place. Just play the bloody game already, mate; this doesn't become you.

This sounds less like the need for more staff, and more like the need for the staff that exists to do some spring cleaning periodically.

I mean, really. There's not much more to be said. I'm pretty sure, at this point, there exists enough members of said clan that if they want to do serious style matches, that a group can be thrown together pretty easily. If you want to screw around in some custom games *coughamericangladiators* then certainly you can find more than enough folk willing to do that.

I can kinda understand the need for mroe staff if the existing staffers tend to be like me and not even turn on the game for a week or 3 because of other things, but really, it's not a problem that deserves a billion pages on a thread.

You tell me your an extremely laid back clan, and then took away the power of anyone to do anything different then what you wanted. Without discusing it with anyone but yourselves! Especially when there apparently where a few other things that had been agreed upon between this thread.
How would you react to that?
You say something like this about an opinion of mine, and expect me to be all happy about it?

I really need to check here more often. I just heard about this thread from Moemar on live when I asked him why we where all peons. I honestly don't care about position in the clan but if we're all peons I personally have a problem because I have allot of friends that want me to play clan matches with them so I leave evade to go there and I'll ask whoever is on to send me a clan invite back to evade. The problem is that if it stays the way it is then I'll only be able to ask certain people for invites that night, this mostly happens between 1-3 am pst, and have to wait for the next day whenever a staff member gets on. All I'm asking is to put everyone back to members because this will inconvenience me and others that might do the same. Also Peons can't spam the entire clan for incites or messages, in some cases this is a good thing but in most it isn't.

As for this whole mess, I really don't care who or how many staff members there are or aren't. The putting everyone to peons only for invites to the clan isn't possible, bungie made it so whoever gets invited to the clan is automatically a member, no ifs ands or buts.

As it stands now we have 5 staff members and one overlord, in my opinion we should be fine for now and if we need to add any staffs I'd say add 3 more and be done, IF it is felt by the majority that we need more.

As for odd people entering the clan I understand where everyone is coming from when they have a friend over and they want to play with them but they also want to play with us and we're playing clan and there's a place open why should we split them up or make them leave when the friend can just join the clan and we can all have fun. I still don't currently have a problem with the amount staffs in the clan as it stands but if some become less active or the clan needs more, we should appoint more.

Lastly, my two cents for staffs, if we do decide to make more, would be: Ubercado, DeathDefi, Incitatus, and INCyr. Out of most of us that aren't staff I think they are some of the more level headed of the group, if I spent more time thinking about it I could probably think of a few more people but that takes added effort and my one post per day, if I even post that much, can only be so long. That's my two cents.

It's funny how people that don't care so much can make such an elitist move to make everyone peons.

Let's be honest here, the number of ilovebees participants will deminish over time, and there is no need to reserve space for people that have moved on or are not coming back to Halo 2. Why not let in friends who are good MATURE players and at least you can bring them up to speed on what ilovebees was all about?

GO BACK TO HAVING TWO CLANS!

Leave the elitist to their pety so called apathy and either go back to Beekeepers or create a new clan where followers of ILoveBees AND friends can join.

I'd like to apologize to Tiny for whatever role I had in blowing this whole thing out of proportion.

When I said I didn't care about clan stuff, I meant it. But I got drawn into a bit of drama anyway, and I regret it. I have explained, in the lobby, my position on the clan stuff. I asked questions, I tried to figure out what in the heck was going on.

Tiny, I like playing with you, and I apologize for making you feel like I wasn't listening to your concerns, but I was really being honest about not wanting to do anything significant with clan management. We did the peon thing to put a stopper in place, because it was getting ridiculous. I never kept watch over the lists, but I have noticed every time I was logging on over the last week or so that all sorts of pending invites were sitting there, for people I didn't know at all. This clan is huge now, and there were a bunch of people I didn't know.

I have to admit, I don't understand this whole clan match thing you guys do. It seems like a pain in butt, just to preserve your big team battle rank. It's weird. Why do you do it, again?

In other news, I try to explain in the lobby and in-game why I am getting frustrated, and wanting to leave custom games for matchmaking, but there is still so much chatter that no one can hear me. I won't sit there for ten minutes waiting to get a word in edgewise, so I will attempt to say, 'hey, I'm leavin',' and then I will leave.

Some of the custom games get very frustrating very quickly for the same reasons they have been over the last few months, and it's because of weapon-whoring and a general disregard for having team communication and cameraderie.

It's totally your (generic you) prerogative to play the game any way you like, but I'm not the bad guy if I don't want to play that way.

atdt, if you'd like to change people back to members, I am cool with that. I'd rather just be hands-off unless I am desperately needed for something.
