Just a question, what is with the spelling of Origen? Origin, the noun or adjective is usually spelled with a second I instead of an E. Is it a different spelling in the Uk, or am I missing something?
I mean, going by dictionary.com Origen was actually a greek philospher who was eventually shot down because of his unorthadox teaching of the christian doctrine. Here's a nice page about him

Call me stupid but i have noticed that when you change the quality of the animation the tree moves a bit as if its been cut... This is probably of no importance whatsoever but i thought it might be interesting......

Ok here's another unsubstantiated theory. The tree does evoke a sense of nature or a natural state. There are 3 locations where there should be fruit or olives. The first location looks as if there is an MSN messenger symbol on it. These 3 locations could represent regions, or maybe it will represent features that will be available on the 360. Voice, Text, and Video chat. Voice and Video would create a more natural medium for communication between the 3 regions US, UK, and JP. Dont forget there is 3 location for fruit, but at each location there will be 2 pieces of fruit. This implies a duality of meaning for each location. They represent Regions AND features. So in short, these features will allow everyone around the world to communicate in a way never before seen in a mainstream setting. Remember in the presentation at E3 they said they were wanting to reach 1 billion people??? To imply they want to sell 1 billion 360s is almost obsurd, but to think about connecting 360 owners with computer users that have MSN, google talk, or other services that are available online, this would seem more feasible. So my thought is that they will anounce that the 360 will allow you to chat with not only people on xbox live, but also people on msn, google talk, or whatever other services they are planning on integrating. This would widely open the user base of the 360 and maybe also entice certain users (the ones they said that wouldnt use the 360 for gaming) to purchase an xbox for the communication features. Seems fair enough to me. This wouldnt raise the price tremendously like an HD-DVD drive would, and also kind of fills in some holes from the E3 presentation that have been bugging me ever since I watched it. What do you guys think??

I am coming from the IGN Board community and have been working on the Origen site mystery. You might be wodering why I am posting this here on the Greg's Life ARG site. I think that there might be a connection between the two, but first I must show how I have reached this possiblie conclusion.

The origen site registered to MS can use .com .net or .org. as the ending. For a while the .com and .net sties had the same site, but the .org took you to google with a search for Oriental Region. This can be confirmed here.

Finding this to be interesting I began doing a search on ARGs once I learned the term from a friend and came across the ARG site. Looking at the gregs life Celcus school thing got me to wondering about a possible connection to Origen. I mean the "school" picture that is giving to us has does a suspicious looking tree in it. Thus I began Exploring the Greg's Blogs/jornal of the Three characters involved in this. I posted my findings of this search like this at the IGN community Forum.

found out that if you type anything behind the question mark on the .com site, it will allow you to do anything. On the .org or .net site it allows you to put up the question mark, but if you type anything after it, it takes you to a can not be found page.

Since then i have done some further research into all of this.

Greg's Journal was created on 8/21/05 and the starter of this thread received an email from him on 8/22/05, Origen went online at the same time it seems or around this time. If you look at Naomis Blog it say it was created in August of 05 as well even though there are dates to previous entries that date before this, but creation dates don't lie.

Also the fact that the missing head Master name is Jeremy Allenson is well weird figuring he share the same first name initial J and the same first three letters of the last name Al with. J Allard. Also all this buisness with the fruit for the school and also the fact that as somebody pointed out Origen and Celcus were two opposing forces in Christrianity philosophies. Some this is pretty weird Coincidence to say the least. Anyway I'll let everybody look this over and see what they think.

Also there is this blog that some think might have a connection to Origen.

All it takes is for one person to notice something that slipped by the rest of us and Bang!! Game on. Yes people are probably overanalyzing things, and yes it has probably all been mentioned, but I am sure if this does end up being more than a countdown to an announcement, then it will more than likely get its own forum, so where is the harm? People are just excited, why spoil it?
