Sorry, nothing has changed.

This is in the source of that page.

Looks like someone is taking advantage of the origen hype to promote there custom faceplate business. Not a bad idea.

i'm taking marketing classes and actually thats plainly brilliant. I had thought about custom faceplates but being a normal teenage kid had no way of creating durable plastic pieces with patterns printed on them. With this marketing this guy is gonna make bank

hmm

The whole site thing sounds wonderful. The playstation underground isn't exactly what i'd think it to be like...more like the Gamer Advisory Panel. I'm a member of GAP for sony and things like surveys and what not are emailed. its a community website and as long as you stay participating and stuff there is contests for prerelease of games occasionally and beta testing and what not. This just might be xbox's answer to GAP.

the only true question that remains is if Sony selects you for GAP...why would microsoft really want to draw the attention of gamers and non-gamers with a clever marketing ploy? Maybe thats all this origen crap is? at the end microsoft may very well just say PSYCHE!!!!

you may be on to something there...i personally don't know what GAP is, but connecting what u explained it to be with the info i got, it seems like xbox is going at BOTH of those communities. also it's interesting, though we honestly don't care as a community how these systems came to life (ok...I don't), i like how Micro$oft is trying to personallize the 360, and more importantly it's gaming division, beyond the use of some neat face plates. if I were M$, i would take advantage of sony's tendancy to disconnect itself from it's users. i've rarely seen any Japanese PS2 rep say, "we're here for you". it's always a "we feed you great tech, and u give us ur money." kinda relationship. if it wasn't that they WANT japan to buy their product, i would advise them to encourage US-only peripherals, much like sony does with it's IMMENSE list of Japan only products.

idk, to me, it makes sense. i guess we'll see in 5 days....

Re: hmm

I was over at www.ign.com earlier tonight reading an article about the Xbox 360 controller when something struck me as odd.

What is this additional New York event that cannot be named because of timely material? Could this have something to do www.origenxbox360.com?

I just noticed that the fruit has "lengthened", or "ripened". I checked the source, and I noticed that the links inside have changed to week 5. Check out the .swf, cuz I have no clue how to.

Im not sure if this has been said before or if it is even relevant but. . . Has anyone noticed that the countdown misses a second periodically, every 40 seconds to be exact?? Watch the countdown carefully and you will see a jump ie 44 to 42 seconds then 40 seconds later another second will be missed.

Further testing (on my system at least) reveals that this is an artifact of Internet Explorer. While I was able to replicate this behavior using Internet Explorer, Firefox did not exhibit this behavior on my system.

Therefore, I doubt it is an intentional aspect of the site, but rather that Internet Explorer is simply not refreshing the screen fast enough and thus must make up for a loss of synchronization from time to time.

I got this e-mail today from the opt-in mailings for XBox Live users (if you choose the share info with Microsoft option in the XBox dashboard).

I've copied the HTML version to my site and as you can see, it links to Origen site with that image of the bunnies.
Can forward the e-mail to anyone who wants to check the headers. ^_^

Based on the url link for the rabbits (.../xbox/live.asp...):

http://xbox.vmteu.com/xbox/live.asp?e=2290&l=67835&r=69348015

and the fact that you received this as part of an XBox Live mailing, it would seem that Origen must be Xbox Live related. Wonder what they could be announcing.

Odd, I got nothing of the sort, and I opted in a long time ago. You don't think it's a UK thing, do you?

Well I work at Best Buy and I was told that we are releasing the 360 on the 22nd of November. So I am assuming that you only get that letter or a letter of that sort for differen parts of the world.
