So, we've got 6/6 as six sides of a cube
1) looks like the oakley logo (new?
2) 8 crosses and one line (don't remember but we may have had it)
3) zig-zag - maybe path? (we had before
4)Middle Person (we had before)
5) Blind?
6) an extremely thin elephant?
Yay, I think I'm able to get back in it after a particularly hectic summer.
[/url]
Edit:
okay, why don't I just put up a picture of each side...
1 /6
2/6
3/6
4/6
5/6
6/6

wow, so we have all the symbols now. Now just need to figure out what they mean. I left a comment on his Blog, and set up one of my own http://whereszoe.blogspot.com hopefully to catch some comments.
***UPDATE
I just received an email from a Gab Gashionel. I'm not certain if its IG or OOG. I'll copy his email here:
Hello there.
My name's Gabriel Gashionel, and I stumbled upon an older blog a few months ago, that seemed to be written by some paranoid girl. She never revealed exactly where she was, but a link took me to the "Pemesent" council site, where I signed up, and now I am receiving weird emails. Is it just me, or have I seen those pictures on Chris's box on the council site, popping up out of nowhere?
Just want an opinion.
- Gabriel

I wrote him back. I'll let you know if he responds. Did anyone else get this email?

Ok, had a brainwave while talking to a friend of mine. Remember the UNY site we were given that showed the cube sculpture in Astor Place Manhattan? (incidentally called "the Alamo" if it's important.) I think that may have been a hint for us that the 'rebus,' the images needed to be placed on a cube. Maybe the PMs got tired of waiting for us to figure that out and decided to give it to us directly.
So I guess what I'm saying is, the cube structuring of the symbols must be important.... but why?
One thought I had was that the opposite faces might be linked together somehow to form 3 pairings...
(Maybe that's what {-}{-}{-}{-}{-}{-}=3 means, and the {-}=2 means we need to pair each side, represented by {-}.)
Any thoughts? Ideas? Solutions!?!?! :p

sorry if this has been posted before... im still trying to find an ARG that i can sink my teeth into.
But about this cube.
I went to the main site and was just poking around.
I clicked on
Travel then on City Info (i get a 400 error Bad request) then when you click on another link you get a quick popup of the 5th side of the cube. Getting a decent screen shot if it.
thanks for the update

hiya mastrrob,
I'd encourage you to get involved with Zoe, it's a great game so far. The game is really just starting (all before was pre-game.) We have a small community here, so it's easy to get involved, and we have several open puzzles. There are two summary posts to catch you up to speed as well.
As far as your question, yeah, we'd discovered the city info page, and the cipher below that picture has been troubling us. You can find the thread on that subject in the "pemesent.com" thread started by labfli.
Welcome to the group, hope you stick around.

Ok then had a proper look at this new site and was amazed that Labfli didnt spot it!
Either this guys spelling is apalling or theres something we missed....

recived corrier prefur recive missery forth
e
u/r
u/r
e
s
u
Now I cant make anything out of that but who spells prefer like this lol gotta be a puzzle

His reply to Caverrance and Labfly also had atrocious spelling!
"menchion" "prehaps"
But the most important information he gives us is to concentrate on the order. I'm still stumped though.

Ah cool, didn't notice a comment had been left! Yeah, I'm definitely beginning to think the order is important. The pictures are not ordered across the cube like an ordinary die would be (opposite sides equalling seven, or sometimes consecutive numbers around the common vertex.) I'll try to think on these terms for awhile, see if I come up with anything.
I'm thinking the {-} of the cipher are clues for arranging the cube, or for interpreting it.

i had sworn off all spelling and punctuation puzzles and or
maybe puzzles over this summer and i feel like a whole
new labfly but i must say that there have been many
flubs and so i'm diving back in.. but with restraint!
here's the Chris response (just in case that blog disappears on us)
Quote:
Chris said...
wow! hi guys/girls,
Thanks for the response I will try and answer your questions.
Caverrance:
it doesnt seem like it can open, its a box (about 25cm high), its light and seems like a cardboard box with these strange pictures stuck on. I cant see the "yellowish thing" you menchion.
Jan:
I have had a look at that website, and yes that green picture that comes up is the same. I dont know anything about this "ryan".
I think the order of the pictures is important, prehaps its trying to tell us something??.

Chris just attempted to contact me via MSN messenger, but I happened to be away from my desk at the time so I missed him. I'll hope to catch him in the next hour or so that I'll be online. I'm hoping he has some additional insights on the meaning of the CUBE
**update - Chris has an edit for his blog today:
Quote:
::edit 31/08/05 - hi guys ive set up a msn account its :chrisb_uk@hotmail.com if you need to get in contact ::
I'd sent him an email when I missed his chat request. Hopefully a response will come.

Yes certainly,
INSIDE
decoded as:
I = Eye
N = Negitive
S = Snake
I = I rather than them
D = Dead or Death
E = Elephant
Once the cube is opened a message is inside.
Im very sorry it had to end so suddenly but quite simply "our plug was pulled".
All the best
Tom.
>Could you at least explain the meaning of the cube to us?
Well that was our first thought lol

muddy, you did great to get what you did! this pm made up
some lame ass symbolic language and expected us to just
understand what this language was.. we had no reference!
we were just guessing all the time!
i'm so freakin' mad right now.. i could spit! this from a game
that misspelled just because they couldn't actually spell
and or find their spell check!!!
i can't believe these pms that start a story off and can't
complete them! what is is that you're all looking for? seems
there must be a lot of "wanna be" pms coming to this genre
for the WRONG reasons! i'm a writer and i cannot imagine
leaving a story unfinished! and i never write thinking "hey
i'll finish this story when i'm certain more than 5 people will
read it"... i write because i have a story to tell. these pms
obviously have nothing to tell us!
arrrrgggghhhh!
beyond all that.. i will miss all the players from our little
posse.
so yahoo, guys, let's go find another game.
