[PUZZLE] Passworded Log Files There are several passworded log files which contain the most interesting parts of the conversations between Pietro and The Advisor. All have a clue in the dialogue box which asks you for a password and username. I've been using "Pietro" as the username, but that may be wrong.
NOTE: I'm operating under the assumption that "S" is Sylvia Salk...

Clue is: Dad

Clue is: S's favourite flower

Clue is: Our Song

Clue is: Where S and I met
(They met at a picnic, but I can't get in. I don't know whether the username is wrong, or whether I should be writing "atapicnic" or what...)

I used "pietro" (seems logical given sylvia's email address)
password "iris"
Dumped me at the salk family homepage. A different response, but hardly an exciting one!

Just a thought:
If they met at a picnic, the password may be the place they went to; for instance: Azad Park?

I thought of this already. I have tried as many park names and areas as I can find, and also all references to restaurants and such places (even though he said a picnic, he could be lying!). So far I haven't found anything.
The fact it routes you to the home-page is quite strange. Perhaps they haven't implemented this part yet, maybe we did discover it all too quickly?

Actually there is no guarantee that we have the Login Name right. Could be both his names together, p_salk plus many other combinations.
Also to keep people out (though speculation this one) may have something else as a login name.
What have people tried?

Tomby has already discovered the correct username (although this could of course be a decoy username?).

Hmm... I personally think you might have hit the nail on the head with pietro / iris... But they haven't made the page... or something... i dunno, it's odd... that must be A working user/pass combo, else it'd do what it does for everything else...
Something odd there...
Jeb
EDIT: oh, and I just checked, and there's nothing in the source of the website you're sent to

If the user name pietro is wrong for the flowers question then why doesn't it just dump you to the access forbidden page? Or to put it another way, I agree that the page we should get isn't up yet.
Oh, and I also tried every combo of 'picnic' 'PICNIC' 'Picnic' 'A picnic' 'A_picnic' etc. that I could think of as well as variations on catbite, but without success.

I also tried all of the park names listed in the wiki with and without the name Park names and with/without spaces.
Although I did not try all the different capital/small letter variations.

Did anyone try 'potluck', or variations thereof, which is, of course, the other thing Pietro calls the meet??

I'm also getting the feeling that there is no site to redirect us to, as yet - quite possible, especially if:
a) this is a seperate puzzle that the PM's want on to work on for a while
or b) We've genuinely caught MC on the hop on this one, and they didn't expect us to able to access these files this quickly, so they'll need time to make the info available.
c) It could be (for the time being, at least - it seems too important to *never* deserve revisiting) a red herring - in the same way that calling up all the pages in the Sentinel looks like it should be possible but isn't, and neither is accessing the Academy Library...

Brute force! Tried every flower I could think of. Lucky Irises are one of my favourites!

Well, rather than try guessing every location we can possibly think of for a picnic I've taken what I hope will be a smarter route. Scarlett's 20th birthday is coming up (this Saturday if you want to send an eCard) and she hasn't yet decided what to do or where to go, so I suggested a picnic and asked her to let us know where she chooses.
Might work might not, but I'll let you know if I get any results.
OK, so it's a little underhand using her birthday to try to solve a puzzle - I'll make it up by sending her something nice.
