Hiya folks! I'm all settled into my apartment in Albany, and classes begin today, which should be good.

Unfortunately I can't get onto any of the Chat-Solutions IRC servers at all from here -- been trying for a week now, ever since I got to school. Soo... I have a feeling I'm gonna be scarce over the next couple of years, but I'll see what I can do. Razz

 		Hi alaranth, you might like to try a couple of workarounds:
1) The network may be blocking the port that irc works on, so look for a proxy server that allows irc connect but use one thats uses an allowed port, (i.e. 8080) http://www.proxyblind.org/list.shtml#4
2) try the CGI:IRC thing from immersion unlimited, or find another cgi:irc site that can connect to any server

 		Woo, thanks! The CGI:IRC interface works just spiffily. I can get an EFnet with port 6668, so I'm thinking that my school is blocking 6667. Very annoying.

But I am on now, rejoice. Very Happy
