Hurricane Katrina

To everyone in the states that may have been affected by the monster that was Katrina; my best wishes for your safety and the safety of your family or friends that may have been affected.

That link will take you to a CNN page with helpful information on relief efforts and emergency numbers.

Sincerely,
TS

EDIT - Just FYI, hitting the submit button only once (even when the forums aren't responding) saves me from having to delete the same thread 8 times. Thanks! - SG

This really does seem like a noble cause to help out with. Heck, even Bungie is calling out it's "Underground Army" to help on this one.

And if this community can come together to pay for somebody to fly to a "training exercise" for phun (thanks again Wink ), we can certainly come together to help a much more worthy cause like this. I know I'll be checking my pocket-book and putting off some purchases to see how much I can help out.

I'm sorry did you just say you have a Pocket-Book?

Yes This certainly is a worthy cause. I'll skim a bit off the top of my next few paychecks to help out.
My best wishes and sincere condolences.

umm, yah, a pocketbook

pocketbook n
1: your personal financial means; "that car is too expensive for my pocketbook"
2: a pocket-size case for holding papers and paper money [syn: wallet, billfold, notecase]

Did the hyphen throw you that badly? Wink

Craigslist

If anyone is bored, apparently people are offering to be a email / phone liason for missing people in New Orleans. Just go to http://neworleans.craigslist.org/laf/ if you want to read up and or help.

Bungie is cool. I think their post says it all. I'll have a new t-shirt soon.

Watching this from The Netherlands (Europe) seeing these kind of images from within the US is just pure shocking to me. I can't really believe this really happening.

Don't need (or want) a shirt so I donated to the American Red Cross instead.

The thoughts and prayers from The Netherlands are with you all.
