i like ooc better Razz though black&white has ruw&boc on it as well i'll try googling and see what i come up with.

so far only place i've found those two words that's english is here http://www.programmingforums.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4411&goto=nextnewest seems to be words in some languages getting alot of pages with stuff like:
Boc fi jahco ip i elyi! Of i efre agyalaykol i anco etba ozgo. I ijfo ifkahirloz
... Mawjo ruw ti cicjegehfez sacrecicneb gi cel

i don't recognize it does anyones else?

edit: and using the pages from the uk option searching for ruw & boc using google.co.uk i clicked i'm feeling lucky and got this site O.O
http://www.decanter.com/worldwineawards/uk_stockists.php
companies it hit on were BoC Ballantynes of Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan. (01446 774840) ... RuW Ruiz Wine Merchant, West Sussex (0190 320 3587). probally absolutely nothing to do with anything but heh.

Remember to use google.co.uk It is not my normal search engine because I live in the usa. But the screenshot was taken from the co.uk google

edit: the w and the b are green not gray so it says w&b which could stand for white and black because black and white is sometimes written b&w. also the whole screenshot is in grayscale except the 2 green letters

w&b stands for W&B Weight & Balance (Aircraft) according to some acronym site.

Any thoughts on the new Cenyon Scribe page? "

The Kurt and Court Knee" Is that a Nirvana reference?

Also what is a .fla file? Can any of you get it to open? If so, how?

.fla is a flash file i think and generally yes if you have the right software.

has anyone else looked at the qt on this page?

http://www.vibration13.com/triskabiblios/scribes/dixon/

look in the source and you get a link to http://www.meettheauthor.com/asp/playqt.asp?ISBN=393&BW=hb which opens up a QT file of Andrew-Graham Dixon talking about his book renaissance. maybe one of the books?

Yeah, that was discovered yesterday. You can see a pretty good run-down of discoveries here:

http://www.wonderweasels.org/13books/guide.html

Today's stuff (orkid's new joyrnal entry and new scribe page added to directory) hasn't been put up (maybe due to the last comment on that page. It seems their rather frustrated by it all, and I can relate)

Have any of you been able to play the enyon.fla file? I can't.

Also in the Cenyon page, there is
http://www.vibration13.com/triskabiblios/scribes/cenyon/wegothistory.swf
Clicking on the moon with the number 13 written on it leads to:
http://www.vibration13.com/teriyaki/Sophie.MP3
which matches the most recent post in the orkid livejournal, saying
Quote:
Current Music: /sophie.mp3

the mp3 is apparently a song from this "Teriyaki" band. At a first listening is just that, a song, no clue hidden there.

It's still quite a mess, possibly pointless and/or slowly and painfully imploding, but at least things keep moving.

wow GOOD ADVICE! }
thanx to U I found a BOOK
it is called Protr8 of the Artist with a Young God
By Dylan Joyce

Try REed
uhhh>>thisis REAL???:blink:ing them both @ the same time - steam of conshoiusness stuff

We're working with two possible books here.
James Joyce's Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Joyce's semi-autobiographical work. It's most famous for it's stream of consciousness style that writes exactly what Dedalus, (the alter ego of Joyce in the book) is thinking. It's available to read by Project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/4217 Other memorable works by Joyce are Ulysses|Finnegan's Wake|DublinersI believe.

OR
Dylan Thomas's Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The title considered as a parody or plagiarism of Joyce's book title. Some of you may recognize this famous poet's work "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night." (Rage Rage against the dying of the light.) Just a tidbit, he grew up in Swansea, and this book is similar to Joyce's in that they're both sort of coming of age stories. Joyce places himself in "another's shoes" per se in a novel form, while Thomas writes directly about himself in a series of short stories.

ETA: Thx to the geography lesson from Atrophied, Wales and Ireland are seperate. Embarassed You live, you learn. Don't hate the yank, hate the education system that produced it. Embarassed Very Happy

Joyce: Dublin
Thomas: Wales

Do with this information what you will.

Shocked wow... erm, Wales isn't in Ireland, it's actually a country all on it's own.

My bad. Embarassed
I was under the assumption it was sandwiched between GB and NI. Embarassed I'll fix the post...LOL Well, My big boo boo for the day. Sorry to all the Welsh for the geography mixup.

Thanks to Encarta:
Quote:
Wales [ waylz ] principality in Great Britain, part of the United Kingdom. Once a separate kingdom, it was united with England in 1536. It voted in 1997 to have its own assembly, and as a result has a degree of self-government.
Capital: Cardiff.
Population: 2,903,085 (2001).
Area: 20,760 sq km (8,015 sq mi.)

Wales, part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, united politically, legally, and administratively with England and occupying a broad peninsula on the western side of the island of Great Britain. Wales also includes the island of Anglesey, which is separated from the mainland by the narrow Menai Strait.

Wales is bounded on the north by the Irish Sea; on the east by the English counties of Cheshire, Shropshire, Hereford and Worcester, and Gloucester; on the south by Bristol Channel; and on the west by Saint George's Channel and Cardigan Bay. The maximum north-south extent of the Welsh mainland is 220 km ( 137 mi); in an east-west direction the distance varies between 60 and 155 km (36 and 96 mi). The total area of Wales is 20,760 sq km (8,015 sq mi). Cardiff is the capital, principal seaport, and shipbuilding center.

Lesson: Don't Be like me. Check your facts before instead of just assume, not after. Embarassed

I'm going to go try and open the .fla files on my other computer with the Macro Flash Design Suite and see if those files contain anything important.

The flash file is http://www.vibration13.com/triskabiblios/scribes/withe/indexfinger.swf -- if you could run it on a yellow background, you could see the smudges better. Here are the elements as taken apart with a SWF Decompiler:

Well, if Vibration13 can't make an ARG, at least they can make some decent music.
