Yep, it's from my scribe page, at the top in the page's title bar. I am not positive of its relevance, I just think it was a pun on my moniker. But, with this game you can never be to sure.

ETA: fix kooky wording.

I got an email from Toby that I have to say has somewhat restored my faith in this Smile
Some of it:
Toby wrote:
I'm relieved the explosion is over... the modern world is a pretty
information heavy place and for Islington to arrive on the scene, weak
and confused, to try and somehow communicate with the world's internet
community, was a difficult task in itself. As far as I can tell, he
finds himself communicating in ALL languages, so the leetspeak must
have been just another attempt at getting through. I felt duty bound
to forward the messages because even if I didn't understand, someone
might. Anyway...

And some from later on:
Toby wrote:
This isn't going to be a
normal ARG by any means, hence my unorthodox tactics. Islington
insists that some positive good to the world comes of this, and I for
one agree. Buying puzzlecards or cinema tickets is all well and good,
but in the end, an ARG is a community game, and if it doesnt put back
into the community I feel it has failed somewhat. Here's to An
Interesting Life.

I'd say things are looking up.

Also, the capitals on 'An Interesting Life' caught my eye, and upon googling, I found this secondhand/out of print bookstore, that looks to have just about every book we could possibly want/need for quite cheep too (saw Xorandor for under 3 bucks as opposed to that $9.20 from earlier in the thread). Course I'll still be getting what I can for free from my University library Very Happy.

Yeah, Me. I possibly think it might still be in progress. It would appear you could click on the "IX" to take you to a link, but not yet.

The main Triskabiblios site is new, too. You can "sign up" now. They're asking for an address, though.

Which is, needless to say, a little weird.

Hello there everybody, I'm new here, I joined exclusivly for this game, it's interessting to say the least, I'm an active member of Nordinho and a few of us were working on this, but, alas, Nordinho has been down for days, so taking Graeme's advice, I'm checking this place out.

So, on to Triskabiblios, I've been following it the best I can but with school and all I've been a bit pre-occupied, so, if anybody has an extra minute I wouldn't mind a quick overview of the game so far, but if not, I'll check through these logs...which might take awhile, anyway, I hope (though doubt) I'll be able to help you guys uncover this mystery.

and fyi, I signed up for it, gave it my adress and everything, what can it hurt?

edit: I found something (well, most likley nothing) while just looking at the triskabiblios page, after Islingtons name there is what looks like a squiggle (like a sideways 8 ) but it can also be interpreted as an infinity sign, which then, in turn got me thinking to what I've read about time travel (which is pretty obviously connected to this ARG), but then, to John Titor, who has been linked to this sevral times, but he (more or less) claimed that there can be an infinite number of universes, another connection to John Titor? or nothing at all? I'm not sure, just thought I'd point it out

Hi, audioslave. I know...what's up with Nordinho? I'm getting withdrawls, man....

I'm not sure if a recap is necessary. I have a feeling that Islington did all that stuff pre-games to get his "Scribes". Now that he has them, I think everything we worked on will be moot.

Somewhere in the thread is a link to a page with everything so far...but I'm too lazy to search for it. The link was at Nordinho, but...well...you know.

We're just waiting to see what, if anything, happens.

If Nordinho dosn't come back soon I might be reduced to *shudder* doing homework

And maybe you're right, maybe this is like stage 1, and stage 1 has nothing to do with stage 2...

ah, I must be going now, I'll check back later

Check it out my scribe page has changed. It's binary code that decodes into a url. I'm working on it at the moment.

interesting convo with orkid cut it down some but if too long i'll cut it down more.

Quote:

orkidquantum: everyones back in town for start of school
orkidquantum: not me though
orkidquantum: I quit last year
orkidquantum: it got too much for me
orkidquantum: a mini nervous breakdown I think
orkidquantum: but I'm still actively interested in my education... just not by going along the heavy academic route
orkidquantum: broaden my horizons abit
shylilembrace415: what were you majoring in
orkidquantum: Physics
orkidquantum: hence my tasty username
orkidquantum: I'm interested in Quantum Physics
orkidquantum: maybe thats why Islington contacted me
orkidquantum: its the cusp of a new way of thinking
shylilembrace415: i'm going into programming
orkidquantum: what kind?
shylilembrace415: videogames probably
shylilembrace415: i just like creating new worlds
shylilembrace415: new historys and futures.
shylilembrace415: then letting them run their course.
orkidquantum: all these ideas... it's what we do with them that counts though
shylilembrace415: most ideas have potential for good or evil.
shylilembrace415: you could take over the world with some.
orkidquantum: why not take over the world with a good idea? A benign dictatorship hehehe
orkidquantum: then, when the worlds ok, just sign the release form and let everyone get on with it
shylilembrace415: that's my ambition in life XP
shylilembrace415: the easiest way to do that would be through the internet you know?
shylilembrace415: computers run everything we do
shylilembrace415: with enough skills and resources you could control everything.
orkidquantum: maybe that's what Islington's doing or, trying to
orkidquantum: helping the Internet reclaim back it's soul
shylilembrace415: maybe he's trying to change the past to save the future
shylilembrace415: the way we are going now the decline in literacy and in ..
shylilembrace415: indepence i guess. free thinking. not just believing what is told to you researching things for yourself.
shylilembrace415: Just because some official person says something is good for you doesn't make it true.
orkidquantum: that seems to be the message
orkidquantum: I like it
shylilembrace415: yea so do i. i try to live by it.
orkidquantum: if we kind of, you know, take it to heart... and it spreads... well maybe we can find the Future Islington promises
orkidquantum: sigh
orkidquantum: I can see this becomeing a real Life Mission
shylilembrace415: It would be a worthy cause for once.
shylilembrace415: instead of the petty ones we usually pursue
shylilembrace415: for love of money or power men give their souls
orkidquantum: maybe thats what we need, a game to unite us. If it is a game...
shylilembrace415: Maybe just this once. It really ISN'T a game.
shylilembrace415: or we could take it beyond the game.
shylilembrace415: apply what we learn to our lives.
shylilembrace415: the smallest stone can make a diffrence.
orkidquantum: maybe it's... like... a game which teaches us how to live outside of the game. Or a benign Virus
shylilembrace415: maybe
orkidquantum: deep stuff lilembrace Wink
shylilembrace415: hey the trisk people seem to think every conversation with you is important would you mind if i posted some of this?
orkidquantum: I dont mind... though i dont see why it's important. I've got no secrets though!
shylilembrace415: if we had the right words we could use a simple idea as a platform to change the world.
orkidquantum: let's do it!
orkidquantum: no but, seriously
orkidquantum: even if this turns out to be just another game, sure we'll have learned something
shylilembrace415: and maybe instead of just putting it on some shelf to rot when we are done we could use it.
orkidquantum: yes
orkidquantum: I wonder... what are the books he's after?
orkidquantum: Are they, like, the books he's referenced so far? or some other, specific triskabiblios books
orkidquantum: I think it's the second one
orkidquantum: cos he said, they were lost in a time traveling ceremony...
shylilembrace415: so then how would we find them?
shylilembrace415: if they are scattered in time
orkidquantum: so, they'd have to be special books, wouldnt they?
shylilembrace415: or maybe simple books.
shylilembrace415: that have special meaning
orkidquantum: well I imagine patience will be a key
orkidquantum: yes
shylilembrace415: that have been overlooked
orkidquantum: Thats true
shylilembrace415: we tend not to see things sometimes
orkidquantum: I must say, this is turning out to be an interesting adventure after all
shylilembrace415: the answer can be staring us right in the face but we don't see it
orkidquantum: once we get a suitable clue as to where and when to look... it's going to be massive!
shylilembrace415: i love that idea
orkidquantum: I'm just happy to be at the start of it
orkidquantum: I've made some good friends already Wink
orkidquantum: and we've got a whole mystery to solve
shylilembrace415: i haven't really been the one to find anything.. i certaintly won't get a scribe page.
shylilembrace415: but i like watching the evolution
orkidquantum: why not?
orkidquantum: maybe you will
orkidquantum: you seem keen at least
orkidquantum: you have a good philosophy
orkidquantum: maybe that's what Islington decides on... I dont know
shylilembrace415: i sent him some emails in the early stages but never got replies
orkidquantum: Why did he choose me?
shylilembrace415: i don't know..
orkidquantum: I dont think all the scribes are chosen yet
shylilembrace415: they aren't apparently
orkidquantum: because... some of them seemed... odd
orkidquantum: maybe you'll still get one
orkidquantum: dont quote me on that though
shylilembrace415: i won't don't worry
shylilembrace415: i'm glad that this didn't implode.
shylilembrace415: or that if it did he was able to reconstruct the pieces
orkidquantum: it looked pretty self destructed at one point...
orkidquantum: all those crazy files
orkidquantum: phew
orkidquantum: he must have been under alot of pressure
shylilembrace415: i feel kinda sorry for him
orkidquantum: me too
shylilembrace415: i'd love to be a time traveler actuallly
shylilembrace415: even if you can't change anything just to see how it was
orkidquantum: well maybe you'll get some hints and tips along the way, huh?
shylilembrace415: to actually experience it far diffrent then some picture in a book
shylilembrace415: maybe that would be nice.
