Another tidbit which probably means nothing:

The notes G-A-F correspond to the Italian notes/syllables Sol-La-Fa, and have frequencies of 392, 440, and 349 respectively.

Edit: Also, in Western music at least, the syllabic representation of the major scale starts off as "fa, sol, la." What this means for Triskabiblios, if anything, is for better minds than mine to decide.

"Mission Accomplished" was a reference to Mountain Girl's Blog that, at the time had an article about Bush's "Mission Accomplished" statements from a few years back. Actually it was specifically about the Google, "I'm Feeling Lucky" search using "Failure" as a keyword.

EDIT: At the time, the PM was munging aspects of earlier defined scribe's aspects into new pages and mine was one of the later done that night.

Shy's gonna hunt us all down and put a spike through our hearts for what we're doing to this thread. Mad

O.k. I know this is off topic of the whole tortuga thing but this has been bugging me for a while now.

The 13 on my scribe page is unlike any of the other 13's I've seen on the Triska site. It's been bugging me for the last two days. I keep looking at it and saying that the 3 is a symbol I've seen before but just can't place.

I've looked through all sorts of alphabets and numerals and have found only things that look like it only turned and upside-down. I've finally found something that looks like it was only turned and not upside-down

Here's the link. Make of it what you will.
http://altreligion.about.com/library/glossary/symbols/bldefsallah.htm

Edit: I know it's not a direct match but still.

Has anyone else registered as a member of the Tortuga forum? I have but have yet to receive the confirmation e-mail. It seems you can only access certain info if you are a registered user.

Wow, this is hard to keep up with, I'm doing my best but it's not easy, I never seem to be around for these discussions, but it's alright, I enjoy being a part of it none the less. Anyway, I've been thinking, we know that there was some refrences to John Titor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor) well what if Islington is trying to do the same thing in another fourm and with slightly diffrent objectives, for example, John Titor was supposedly trying to find an IBM computer and while he was here he told us about the wars of the future, well what if Islington knows of these wars and is trying to prevent them through this game? Maybe he is trying to promote this peacfull way of lifestyle through this game as to prevent world war III? Could he be trying to save millions of lives and societe as we know it, or is he just doing all this for kicks?

EDIT: Jackalope's post made me think of someting (btw I was wondering about that, they look identical, Is has a habit for rotating things) according to John Titor religion changes almost completely in the future, maybe all the religious symbols are a hint to this, maybe he was a sent by a church....

I think you missed my point Kylegumby....

What I was trying to impart is that this has to be a 'team' effort. We are not going to get anywhere if we do not work together and rely on each other.
(I have the strange urge to break into 'Islands in the Stream') Wink

One of the ongoing themes, thus far, has been strengthening the global community and sharing knowledge. Again, I say we are a 'team'...everyone has something to offer(to share)....and everyone has something to get out of the experience. We are not an elite team....we are more like the YMCA...everyone is welcome! Wink

All in all....I think that we are saying just about the same thing. Razz

And, I agree Jack....I find myself staring at some of this stuff blinking slowly and feeling the the cogs in my mind grinding to a halt. Other times (especially when someone breaks into 'L33T' speak) I feel like closing my eyes, sticking my fingers in my ears and going "LALALALALALALAL". Shocked

Back to Triskafying---

Where did the reference to the whole Tortuga first come from? I see above that Mountain Girl attributes it Islington...but I could not find how it was first stumbled upon.

Has there been any other followup on the Yann/Kip/Toby connection?

One has to wonder why Graeme has not been more visibly involved in this...beyond posting letters as he receives them.

Carry on....

I believe if you click on the Current moon link on the main page it will take you to another site with the moon and a link to both the moon phase calculator page and the tortuga page.

Jack...
I'd bet that is just the "3" from the font set used elsewhere in the site.
No idea where he (Toby?) got it or what it's called, though.

It's from Islington's "Moon Phase" Page. Go to the main page, click Triskabiblios, then at the bottom (beneath Book Zero) is the moon phase link.

That's what I thought at first too Rogi. But I can't seem to find a single instance of that font being used on a number before. Also the 1 in 13 doesn't use the line. Even the i's in our scribe names use the line. So that's what made it stand out to me.

Is it just me or is Islingtons name spelt different all the time. On the main page it's Islington, on orkids page it's Izlington and on Toby's page it's Ixlington..

This must be the symbol :

It is called the Banner of Peace and is directly linked to by Triska!!

I stoped at about page 35 and skipped to the end...too much reading...

Here a BoP link

http://www.13moon.com/banner%20of%20peace.htm

Quote:
What is a 13-Moon Calendar?

A 13-Moon Calendar is the logical and natural way to count the 365-day year cycle. Instead of 12 months which are 28, 29, 30, or 31 days long, the year is instead measured into 13 months, each one an even 28 days. 13 moons of 28 days each gives 364 days - plus 1 "day out of time," a day of celebration and forgiveness, to acknowledge the passing year and welcome in the new year.

Unlike the 12-month calendar which corresponds to no natural cycles, the thirteen moon calendar is a "solar-lunar calendar" because 365 days is the measure of the Earth going around the Sun (solar) and 28 days is the average measure of the Moon's synodic and sidereal cycles (lunar).

Every year cycle begins not as January 1st, but instead with July 26th as Day 1 of Moon 1. The correlate dates are fixed - for example, "January 1st" will always correspond to "Rhythmic Moon 20" (the 20th day of the 6th moon).

Printed around the world by people of diverse cultures and faiths, this 13 Moon calendar is proposed as the harmonious alternative to the unnatural, irregular 12-month yearly calendar which serves as the current world standard of time.

The 13-Moon calendar is the modern dispensation of ancient and indigenous wisdom and science. These codes, numbers, and cycles were known by earth dwellers and cosmic seers of past ages, and now, by us as we reawaken this knowledge within our own living cells.

If someone were to decompile the flash from the main page, It'll probablt tell the name of the font.
I don't do flash, so can't help there. Embarassed
