Yeah, maybe we have to use the image from the alphebet.html page and use a compass to plot a course...

EDIT: Aww yeah! First post of page 50!

What is The Hand of Ixl-Taan? Is that just the name of the image?

Could it mean lxl tan as in x tangent, another mathematical term?

**EDIT**

OK now I'm thinking lxl Taan. The Hand of Islington perhaps?

I think that it just the name of that image....Ixl-Taan is not a name that I recognize. If I were to guess, though, I would say that it sounds kinda Mayan or Aztec.

Back to the compass.....I am thinking that, with the maps we have been given, we should anticipate being given coordinates at some point to find something (Book Zero?). Perhaps we already have been given the coordinates?

Here's a stretch, but the picture is of the LEFT hand. If you search for the Left hand of Islington you find something that is directions...not necessarily coordinates, but directions none the less.

But if it was scanned.....would it not be the Right hand?

I freely admit I am not a 'visual' person so I may be a tad confused. Wink

Edit: Ah, yes...as to the above. Would make sense if it was the Hand of 'Ixl-Taan/Islington'. I shall ponder that no longer..

Alright, screw the restless sleeping. I'm up and alert thanks to my friend coffee. You guys need the check the site, it's been updated. If you go to the end of the book of zero and click on the map, you get another screen. The background is a book, white lettering reads "To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour". 1643-1727 is also on the bottom right corner. As far as I know (working off a bad memory here) Graeme's scribe page never had the funky symbol at the bottom that it does now.. but, aside from the obvious graphical change on the mainpage, I don't see anything else.

I'm not sure if we were meant to actually use the coordinates on the notebook map page, but I sure can't read the letters clearly.
From what looks like Barbie's butt in the upper left corner, there are characters going both to the right and down the page.
Anybody know a way to sharpen them to make them readable?
Sharpen in MS picture editor isn't getting it.
If we could, we might be able to associate Ixl tan (or some other clue) with the points.

Ok, trying to sort out the clues in the new page...
Googling "Isaac Newton" "William Blake" alphabet gives me this site:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/MChown/magicsample.htm
Which is titled The Alphabet of Nature
Not only does this page start with the poem from Blake, but it says some very interesting things about Newton:
Quote:
Newton viewed the Universe as a giant riddle set by the Creator which might be cracked by the relentless application of pure thought.

I also came acrros lots of sites that indicate both Newton and Blake were involved in Druidism. Most of what i find says that Newton's involvment in Druidsim has been mostly covered up but Blake (who was supposedly a grandmaster) was key in a Druidic renaissance in LONDON

Still digging....[/u][/url]

1) If Shane is getting personnal messages like that is is likely from someone who lives near you and who you know to some degree. Perhaps it is just a fruad (either from shane or from the person who left the notes) I'm inclined to believe someone is tricking you shane but "Be cautious but trust" does come into play. Perhaps it is a test of our faith, perhaps of our coutiousness. On the other hand, this Shane could be Islington himself, or someone we dont know yet, testing us or tempting us.

You tihnk I'm Islington? Embarassed I actaully feel kind of flattered, wish I could be as smart as this guy. But it can't be from anyone I know. If youa sked them what an ARG was, they'd probably say "Wha? did you hurt yourself?" rather then "Oh yeah,I love alternate reality games!"...you know, not exactly the sharpest tools in the drawer,if you get what I mean. Plus it's distinctly different from any voice of any one I know. The note thing? Maybe that's just coincidence. Who knows though?

Startling idea here.Am I the only one who thinks that this Islington guy is sort of,you know, trying to play God? What with shaping the future and such?(that's the impression I get.) The name 'Shane' means God's Chosen. Maybe he singled me out because of that? Just a thought, I'd appreciate some feedback.

Did you notice this one?

http://www.neopagan.net/AODbooklet.html

I googled a different order into Isaac Newton William Blake alphabet.
This was the I'm feeling lucky. Notice the chapter number (1.3)

The Outer Order has three Grades known as: The Gatehouse, where anyone may seek admission to the Order through Initiation. Only those who have received the appropriate training in the relevant Grade of the Inner Order, and have qualified therein, are able to give effect to an initiation ceremony. Without the Hierophant the ceremony is no more than a mere charade.

The Seven Kings, wherein the aspirant begins to study and tackle the forces at work within himself which the Hierophant has quickened during his second initiation. The aspirant should have been properly prepared for this in The Gatehouse.

The Ovate Og or Ovydd Og, …Ovydd, a sapling or unformed plant: ov, raw. A young shoot having the promise of growth (which must be realised at least in part before qualifying in this Grade). It is here that man shows his worth, the balance of his wish and will, the quality of his integrity. It is here that he chooses between the life of selfless service and that of self agrandisement.

Part of the aspirant's task in this Grade is to meet and clear up his obligations to the past; he is not yet obligated to the future, hence the point of balance; O–O, zero–zero. Not until he has caught up with himself can he even approach the portal of the Order proper — until he measures up to the required standard, he must remain in the seed-bed or nursery.

The Inner Order is divided into Three Orders each having its own sphere of activity and its own series of Grades. Until the aspirant attains the required standard of character and integrity, he can not even be considered as a candidate for the Inner Order where the Druid training proper begins, and this training can take quite a long time. There is no short cut to the balanced development of man's latent forces, faculties and powers.[/b]
