I wonder, we were just given the name Nash, no first name, correct? . The first two thoughts that came to my head were Ogden Nash, the poet, and then our own UF's Nash Carey.

There is also another John Nash, an architect. He was huge in Regency London. I can't find if he wrote any books. That would be too simple, I guess?

Sorry. Had to take Duckie's advice and give it a rest.
I'm not entirely sure it is a solve.
All I could find to do from my page that seemed to make sense was to follow the "Toby" path and the Treasure Island puzzle seemed like the best bet.
The flash that is the puzzle didn't work very well on my machine as all I could ever ger was negative responses from the various solves. No positive hints at all except for the absence of failure messages.
If you opt to do it, I'd suggest working through the puzzle from the last page to the first.
Because Duckie mentions a map, I'm more encouraged.
Okay, I'll post it, here and hope Greame and Tony's minions don't find me.
The name of the island is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
N a t u n a B e s a r - In the Riau province of Indonesia

Now...
Who else got a page??? Question
I'm gonna take a look at the text on Greame's page next and try renaming the saved content with various filenames like, ".swf" and try all the standard Base 64, Base 36, mime, uudecode stuff on it
.Possibly its an archive, like a .zip with Monkey or something similar from the first pic as a password.[/b]

Well, my reinforcement of Ogden Nash was that he was a poet/writer that began gaining popularity in the 1930s and somehow I connected that with Islington's correspondence from 1931. I know, I'm probably grasping at straws here.

Rose: refer to my previous post on page 6. I just ETA'd instead of writing out a new reply.

Found Graeme's file.
It is just the content of what i think is a printer driver file for a Datamax i-4604
http://www.datamaxcorp.com/_assets/library/bin/i4604_07132.zs

Just a red herring, or can anyone develop that lead further Question

Why isn't there a herring icon to match the trout Question

I think that the "tip" to not look that much into it is a clue that Graham was on the wrong track. Graham said about halfway through the post on his website that he googled "xOrchid" and got that website of gibberish. I think the "tip" page was to say-- don't worry too much about how she signs her name. It would be like obsessing over someone we know signing all here letters "-d"
Which I think I'll adopt, now that I can use D as part of my name.

Well, the main datamax webpage says that the company
Quote:
Datamax Corporation - Offers a full line of products to meet every bar-coding requirement

I wonder, is this a pointing clue?
ETA: You're prolly right Duckie

just a question

I know that this is a little late in the game, but I am new to this one, but how long does it take to get an e-mail from Islington?? I have waited for an hour now, and no response, or does it take awhile?

Well, I emailed him last night and didn't get one until sometime this afternoon - so it can take a bit. Considering how much content seems to be created on the fly, it's not surprising its a little hard to get a hold of him. (Btw, I can also confirm that my scribe page has personalized elements.)

Has anyone noticed there is now a reply on the Network 54 site on Triscals Post. It may be nothing but it says: "tay la nore kayla soyana..." The closest thing I can find is that it's Elvish.

thank you rowan!!! I thought that I was just going batty there for awhile. I am not far in this one, because I think that I have to wait until I get a message before I can go on, is that true, or can I continue on form the postings here. I wouldn't want to make Islington mad at me, or screw something up!! Confused

If you have something to add, you are always welcome to post here. Unfiction is considered Out-Of-Game - which basically means that anything that is posted here cannot be viewed by the characters of a game (although PMs will read these boards to get an idea of where we are in a game).

But anyway, welcome to the forum. And Mountain_Girl and Debra - feel free to register as well. It really is painless and it allows you to edit your posts and whatnot.

I see where you're going, but now I'm wondering if I did the Treasure puzzle just for fun.
I'll go back with a different mindset, think about what was available, when and try some new tacks.
