Unfiction Fantasy Football Week 1

http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/319578

I dunno if people not in the league can view the league, but might as well give a try. But here's how I break it down for Week 1.

It's The Flying Avocados (Urthstripe) over Ferret Army (???).
Air Vents of Doom (???) over Lou Man Group (Lou).
Anesthesia (nik) over Jamesi loves the CFL (just guess).
I'll Make It Rain (???) over The Jesus Quintanas (joe_brent).
Cort's Crushers (Cortana) over The Angry Telemarketers (???).
And, finally, in the upset special, Banshee's Broncos (celina) over People (???).

That's the way the cookie crumbles, folks.

Trash talk away.

GO STEELERS!

When you say "over", you must mean "slumped over in death from mortal wound by opponent", right?

If you really want it to mean that in your tiny little dream world, that's ok.

My dream world isn't tiny, it's... adequate and special. My therapist told me so.

You seriously don't know who the Ferret Army is? I think I need to do a little more advertising of my interests.

Nope. If you aren't in the league, you can't view the league. Maybe one of you enterprising folks can figure out a way to broadcast the results?

Anesthesia (nik) over Jamesi loves the CFL (just guess).
I'll Make It Rain (Lou's brother) over The Jesus Quintanas (joe_brent).
Cort's Crushers (Cortana) over The Angry Telemarketers (joebrent's friend).
And, finally, in the upset special, Banshee's Broncos (celina) over People (I don't remember).

Yeah, I've got to be honest. I was looking at my team, and it is freakin' terrible. You know what that means? All of my players are available. Make me an offer and we'll haggle a little. I guarantee that I'll finish worse than .500, and probably even miss the playoffs, with this team. So I need to shake it up. Fortunately, my other two teams (which are in money leagues) are much, much better.

Don't forget to make use of the message board in the league instead of the UnForums all the time. There are a few people who aren't UnFiction members in the league.

Even though I hate Randy Moss, I was pulling for the Raiders of the Pats. Just because of the recent raw hate I have for the Pats. Oh well.

OMG, NYG defense comes through big time getting me 54.20 points. WOW! I definitely did not see that coming.

Looks like my upset special already didn't come through. And that looks like that's the only one that's been absolutely decided.

Damn the Giants. If not for them, I'd be sitting pretty right now.

But, considering I thought I'd be more at strifey's point level right now, I'm pretty pleased with my team Very Happy

Still waiting for TO and Akers to play Monday night, but I'll probably lose anyway unless they both have big games. McCardell killed us. Still, one question --

The Jets D gives up 27, and gets a sack and a pick, for 22 points. My Panthers D gives up 23, and gets a sack and 2 fumble recoveries for 11.6 points.

Wha-huh?

The first week is done and here are the results:

Urth's Flying Avocados over Rowan's Ferret Army 122.89 to 109.95.
Lou Man Group over strifey's Air Vents of Doom 104.10 to 71.11.
Nik's Anethesia over Jamesi's Mooseskin Footballs 112.37 to 97.14.
I'll Make It Rain over Joe Brent's The Jesus Quintanas 123.54 to 113.49.
Peoples over Banshee's Broncos 119.98 to 79.22.
Finally, The Angry Telemarketers over Cort's Crushers 127.08 to 94.87.

For those of you keeping score at home, Strifey gets The Loser of the Week award by scoring the lowest points Laughing
And Joe Brent gets The Unlucky Award by scoring highest of the all the losers, and even scoring higher than two winners. What a shame.

Aaaand that also means I only got 3 out of 3 right, this week, but cut me some slack. I will do better, I promise.

See you in week two!

GO STEELERS!
