I think the 'something more' that Sylvia refers means we have to negotiate between the Advisor and Sylvia, arrange a meeting in a safe place. But of course we need to track down Monica (if we're happy that she is the Advisor) on her sabbatical (though she might pick up Brian's email at some point).

Where would an economist go on sabbatical? Isn't it usually academics that have sabbaticals to go off, study and maybe write a book?

well, there is rudon fForest. My hesitation there is Sylvia wants to fFeel safe, and harrassing Monica in somewhere isolated on Monica's turf like that isnt exactly neutral ground. We dont know hwere Rudon is. Monica may have a well stocked and armed cabinin the woods. I can suggest it to sylvia, with all sorts of precautions. But mind, we're not even sure if monica is on sabbatical, or in hiding in her apartment. or, fFrankly, not taking calls at her desk at work. all we really know is "she could not be reached fFor comment."

Perhaps you could say that you were an acquaintance/friend of Pietro Salk, who entrusted her contact information to you before he passed away (and told you the lime life so she'd know Salk sent you)? (but no other information, like, say, her being hired to steal the Cube, living on floor 157 and whatnot - don't want to frighten her off, though that may be inevitable at this point.)

If she killed him to avoid his spilling too much to the police, then it may be very difficult to get any information from her. In that case, we could threaten to expose her - since we have contacts at various institutions - though I don't particularly want to see her killed...

Just tell monica that we were going through pietro's files and he wanted us to help her. Which was something like what the last line of the doc.s said. tell her you were just attempting to validate that we had our hunch right and that Sylvia would like to talk to her. Sounds "easy" enough.

Looks like Bri is the point man for this source...May I suggest that we play to her weaknesses as revealed in the Salk logs. She seems paranoid and lonely - if I interpret them correctly. I believe Bri has made a good start in this direction but we may be able to play on that.

Not exactly the time for asking this question but I would particularly like to know why exactly a CTT (Cube Theft Team) would need a "Consulting Economist"? Is this a nice term for "Robbery Consultant"? What is her real skill?

Also, the Sente interview in the Sentinel yesterday says the Academy has collaborated with "finance, big business and government across the city." Is this a hint towards the conspiracy...With the TA being the rep from finance?
