I'm with Olly cause I'd love to go but I can't because of school unless it was later.

Hey guys - I just talked to a buddy of mine who graduated from IC just under 4 months ago.

I asked him where "signs" would be posted, where posting boards, etc were.

He said this:

"The only places accessable without a swipe card is the students union and the quad itself."

He also said that some of the places to look for signs might be:

- The 3 floors of pubs in the union
- Staircases that go down to meeting pits in the quad (outdoor mini-sitting areas)
- Phone boothes on the east and west sides
- Trees (students frequently post info on them)
- In the Student's union on the main floor is a posting board for jobs, etc
and finally
- Sign posts outside in the quad telling you what direction the halls are in, people will tape concert ads etc to them

Good luck guys, happy hunting!

if the london colleges follow the same timetable like Leeds, then you will find that Monday is also the first day of Freshers Week.
So you can also expect lots of people milling around, and tons of people giving leaflets, flyers out etc, possibly stalls for societies too - oh and maybe some freebees like free pot noodles and condoms.

(isnt student life fun!)

Arghh! Mind Candy why must you spoil the Londoners so much!? They really need to have things happening in a bunch of major cities worldwide, so as to include everyone. It's getting boring just reading about all the fun you guys are having.

Oh, and by the way - It would be awesome if someone who's going to the Imperial thing could videotape some of it.

I've got another friend who's in London and plays ARGs, but due to school orientation isn't free until 15:00.

How many people are actually going to be able to make it to the 13:30 meetup as opposed to something past 17:00?

Firstly, it's 13.33 (it's a crucial and important distinction to make) and I definitly will be.

I'm amazed Arashi got so much information (useful stuff btw-however I imagine we'll play it by ear and try to get students to help us), I asked a friend of mine who went to Imperial who just said that the 'quad was rubbish'. Thanks.

Alas, due to circumstances beyond my control, I wont be able to make it tomorrow... Sad

But I shall expect many photos and a full report from the team! Good luck.

When y'all go tomorrow, keep in mind that the 'sign' might be of an 'omen' nature, and not necessarily of the placard type. I'd take a second look at people walking around, too. There might be someone we recognize... who's strayed from Perplex City? Follow them! Cool

I envy all who will be there. Leave no stone unturned, have fun, and take lots of pictures! Wink

That's exactly what I was thinking. Loads of people have work/uni and won't be able to make an event like this until the afternoon. Wouldn't it be better to wait until then, so that everyone could be involved?

Simple things

For those of us who are relatively new and having trouble accessing all the burgeoning history - what kind of things are we looking for? What exactly happened at Abbey Road, and will it be a similar set-up? Are we looking for people, places, events, objects or all of the above?
