For those of us who are relatively new and having trouble accessing all the burgeoning history - what kind of things are we looking for? What exactly happened at Abbey Road, and will it be a similar set-up? Are we looking for people, places, events, objects or all of the above?
Two tips.
1. Anything can be a clue
2. Be Vigilant

Cigars etc What I really meant was: are there any objects that have special significance that I may not be aware of? Cubes, obviously... anything else come up? Any numbers apart from 333? Instantly recognisable characters?

the symbol obviously (the three squares)... and the receda cube (as pictured in the brotherhood of six coded file) any red heads and anything related to threes, also as the third power may be somekind of cult anybody wearing gowns/robes and anything related to cubes, eg an 'e=mc³' t-shirt. There may also be a 'the cube: lost, reward £100,000' sticker although it probably wont be a clue, as that wouldnt follow the plot too well, there may well be a sign about a 3P meeting somewhere in the quad, which you will then have to infiltrate using a password such as 'viendenbourg'. Another tip would be dont travel en masse; a) you will get more done and b) if one of you screws something up and gets rumbled you wont balls it up for the rest of the people, and dont go shouting 'Perplex City' as the 3P might realise ur on to them.
EDIT: GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have fun you bastards... I hate the regularity of school, its annoying im gonna be sitting in english while ur running round hunting the cube grrrrrrrrr....

Alas I won't be able to make it, but just for the record:
Meet at the Prince Consort Road entrance to the Beit Quadrangle, 1.33PM. Map: http://www.imperial.ac.uk/maps/sk.asp
So there you have it. I should be around during the day itself, and a couple of the attendees should have my contact details in their email inbox for communication goodness. Although I remember someone at Cubefest could actually log onto IRC direct from their mobile phone? The wonders of modern technology, eh?
Anyway, good luck and good hunting... we're counting on you!

I'll be there in spirit - in body and (maybe) mind, I'll be further North, working. I hope you all enjoy your day, and come up with the goodies. I'll see if I can't get my GPRS card installed in my laptop again and try to drop into IRC for a while. Have fun.

This just popped in my head even though it may be too late...
Did you happen to search around the NE to East side of the quadrangle. The reason I ask this is if you compare Scarlett's hiking map to the quadrangle there are some similiarities. I could be way off base but the direction are even similar. The train track loop and road both start south and head north.
Edit... well I guess those aren't roads I'm not sure from the map... just a thought that I had .

We all had quite an extensive look of the area (even in the student union ) and I think all that was there was the poster.
Did anyone else who went spot the poster on the top of the bike shed?

Nah - I think I'll hop on a 475$ (found a lower fare) flight and see it in person.
None of your "omg receda approach poster!!!1!1one!!"
Silly Reason - any problem can be solved by throwing money at it!
