So if they are all direct quotes, how come none of them can be found on google? Maybe from now defunkt pages?

In my case, it could be google never got around to indexing that page. I only had the link up for a week - and I only ever placed the link here. It could also be that some of the quotes were from chats that would not have been placed on the web at all.

I'll try to figure out what they are talking about in that mp3 file when I get home!

Hey String, beat you to it!
this is the transcript for the mp3 file mentioned

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

It really doesn't seem that interesting. Just some guys talking about the price of the PSP and gameboys.

?? - I don't get the first bit
"I can't believe they even put that thing out"
"I don't want to pay that much for a PSP"
"I would like to ?? down..."
"Neither do I"
"I would still not spend $150 on a handheld"
Not sure, but sounds like "I can concede"
"Even if it came out at $100, $150 on an handheld. Spend that much you know, on a system"
"mmm"
"A handheld should be just a smaller version, should be on $100. You know, like the, like the advance of the gameboys gradually getting more and more expensive."
Can't understand, but there's a big laugh
"...which came out about $60"
"yes"
"The advanced was like $70, maybe even $80"
"What? No!"
"The advanced, yeah"
"The DS was $150. The PSP's $250"
"mmm ... $250"
"Hey guys, if the little red lights on, does that mean its recording?"
"mmm"
"oh shit"

anyones guess is as good as mine. But there was previously mentions of the Xbox 360 and video game references ('I pwn U!', etc)

Well, I thought I found a new page, but then it turned out that the compass image on the 404 pages is missing. Weird.

EDIT: and now, about a minute after my post, it is restored.

Would the PM really alter the game just because we found something before he thought we were supposed to?

probably not. it seems to me the PM is altering the site after she (my version of gender neutral) is sure that we have seen it. Maybe to give us clues to other things. like the editing of believe.

why wouldn't they? (you're quick to assume it's a male PM Razz )

If we'd gotten to a point in the story ahead of where we were supposed to, they'd want us to go back and get any bits we missed by skipping ahead so far. Changing the game is the only option, otherwise we'd miss a chunk of what they wanted us to see.
ARGs are good in this respect, you can alter the way the game plays out by changing how you play it and how you interpret it. Be assured that the PMs are watching our every move and adjusting to our progress.

EDIT:
To quote Elan Lee:

Quote:
These were the puzzles that would take a day, these were puzzles that would take a week, and these puzzles they'd probably never figure out until we broke down and gave them the answers. So we built a three month schedule around this. And finally we released. {Pause} The Cloudmakers solved all of these puzzles on the first day

obviously the game would then have to alter itself to match the style and speed of the group solving/playing it.

That makes alot more sense then what i said atrophied. I have some experience as a DM and a Storyteller as well as an rper and the line "All storylines are perfect until the players get involved." pretty much sums it up.

(for any who play whitewolf. having a 20 foot bear who can step over a 10 foot fence and flip the truck the baddy caring the monstie is in then proceed to smash the truck and heal the undead monster (killing it) pretty much ruins any story line ^_^ that one was supposed to take at least a week Razz it took 30 minute.)

rose.htm has changed again.

Courage is now blue, and data input is 18.

I thought the MP3 sounded familiar. It was taken from an email we got in section 32. Take a look HERE

Bit of e-mailing...

From me sent yesterday to noitcurtsedSPLATgmail.com:

And the reply received at 03:45 today. Seems to be the same as the others:

Quote:
I'm happy that I was on that mountain that night. I'm happy I was breaking the law and drinking my brains out. I'm happy that I got caught by those operatives, and I'm happy they shot that gun at me.

Because if they didn't, how could I ever do all the pillaging I do now? ^.^

Besides being able to change my appearance is just as good as the pillaging, and then some.

Oh, and I love my new necklace by the way, thanks for asking. Diamonds are truly forever.

Edit: Added a bit extra

Someone metioned Project Gateway earlier on in this thread, and when I got the email about the old man with a beard I immediately searched for Mr. Pytak in Google, and came up with Stephen J Pytak, now here is a post from sequoya from Project Gateway mentioning Stephen J Pytak... Just wondering if there's a link. Altho saying that, the page about angels (can't remember the url) strikes me as something from Winged Kids/ Maximum Ride... saying that Angels dont have wings etc then lil side note saying "Silly humans".

Dunno if this means anything, and I know I'm not really helping the investigation but I just thought I'd give my two pence worth Razz

If there is a connection to Project Gateway, then (concievably) there is a connection to many other games we've played here on Unf. You said it yourself M.o.P that there were maybe some Maximum Ride references. Your connection, if I see this correctly, to synagoga and therefore wildfires just adds more to the list.

Of course, I didn't play many of these games. Just knew they existed and kinda skimmed through em. So if there is a real connection, if this is some kind of sequal or spin-off or something, then I'll be the last to know.

Maybe not so much a connection but the PM's are poking fun at us by giving us all these game references? Saying "You think these are games, but they're real in my world". I dunno to be honest. I dont think it's gonna be spin off or anything, cuz there's too many games we can link this too. We just need to get a straight answer from that fgforopejwhojamawotsit! I'm keeping an eye on this to see if it pans out, it might just me an image puzzle trail mascarading as an ARG Razz
