Hmm... wasn't really that impressed with PG, I didn't really get into it so couldn't be impressed, but this looks interesting surely. I always like fresh, original ARGishness rather than sequals or spin-offs or that sort, this may change my mind though. Then again, it could have nothing at all to do with PG, just be made by the dudes and dudettes behind PG. *considering* *goes back to digging around the trailhead*

So new PGverse story then mabye. Or, again, just by the same people. The echoes could explain all the stuff we're getting form PG if that were the case. While we're on this. Any confirmation of stuff from other ARGs? There was a shovel full of quotes and pages that tickled my memory, but since I've not played many grassroots ARGs I couldn't find any direct connection. I think there may be more than just PG connections?

Here's what I'm gathering, Marrec. This is a different story, or if truly related, very much deeply dug, compared to the first. The first was (what I thought to be) a great first effort grassroots game, where the story was kinda cool, and the puzzles and "discovery process" was unique. The game itself was not comprable to something like ILB or something much more polished, but it was a very creative and more solidly built g-roots game than a lot I've seen before or since.

But I don't think this will be a "sequel", although I could be wrong. It looks like it's going down a different path, just tangetially tying in (possibly just as a nod, so we know where it's coming from?)...

But as a note, the wiki is totally spammed up. Do NOT click on any links (other than the "page" links, which are mostly useless anyway) that are external links in the wiki.

Your best bet would be to check out the old forum for more info.

Nice, at least we've found something concrete (maybe) to go from. We have a verse to work in. (see above, maybe) *wee*

Shy,

Where do you see the inputs down to 10? When I look up /rose.htm, it still shows 12.

EDIT - nevermind, just refreshed.

Hey Dorkmaster! I'm working on reverting all the PG wiki pages to their most recent proper version so in a short while they should no longer be spammed and should serve as something of a summary.

I should stress, though, that we were told by the PM when PG2 was all in meta stages that it would NOT require any knowledge whatsoever of PG1 to play. So don't worry too much about furiously reading up on it, although it may help a little it's not key. If this is PG2, that is.

It's probably an hour-wise countdown. When it reaches zero, we'll probably be given a new clue, or a new page will appear there.

... no, it can't be hour wise. We're down to 8 now.

6!!!

Courage is "glowing" now, for lack of a better term. There's a blue line cutting across the screen that gets more and more pronounced. (stating the obvious, I know...)

...it's gonna be pretty anticlimatic if nothing happens when we get to zero...

Okay, so Nos came up with this interesting idea. Remember that 'email courage' thing from back there? Well, we e-mailed the dude with courage in the subject line and talked about courage right? Well, then the input dropped to 8. So she says "Maybe everytime we e-mail him/her courage, the input drops?" So we e-mail him twice more. And, what do you know, the inputs at 6 now...

Now I dunno if this is actually working or anything... but I'm gunna do it again.

Sorry, Sequoya... you are absolutely right. The PMs hinted that the next game would NOT require knowledge of PG1. But I still want to reminisce, and also think it couldn't hurt to be prepared, just in case... Smile

Oh of course, I love nostalgia Smile And your summary was fantastic and definitely worth reading! Just trying to reassure folks not to read every single post in the old forum. (I'm sure we talked a lot of nonsense in there at times Very Happy)

I emailed him once earlier with Courage in the subj line, and I just did it again. Let's see what happens!

Still no change, as far as I can tell.
