This might just be a typo on Strike's part, but...

The map does say Saturday the 24th but the email says 22nd. Sat.
The way it's written there, it looks like two different statements were trying to be made. Like, something big will happen on the 22nd. And something big will happen on Saturday.

I know, the 22nd was the date from the email prior to this, the date that everyone else has concluded that a new page will be up, but could it be something different that also pertains to the college?

I don't know. Maybe I should just go back to lurking. By the way, hi! :]

Has anyone mentioned the underlying theme of religion (which is prominent at libra.htm) and its correlation to the forum that is planned for Constitution Day?

Quote:
God &The Constitution:

Does religion have a role in American politics? What constitutional issues are raised when religion is either included in or excluded from the public square? Should Church and State be absolutely separate or should religious values be prominent in our public life? Is the Constitution itself a purely secular document or imbued with some religious significance? How can our constitutional order accomodate religious pluralism?

These and other questions about the complexities surrounding the Constitution and religious practice will be discussed in this session.

just looked at /courage again and its got a mission log. Was that there before or does it keep changing? Im pretty sure it was mentioned previously, but this has only jsut come up for me then (I looked at /courage several times).
I've posted it because I have no idea if it will remain up since I think it comes and goes

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

///Unit Log: Commander CyberStrike
///Log Date: October 31st, 2004
///Mission #9821 - "Project Gateway Into Nightmares"
I don't know where I can begin with this one. Well, technically I do, but I don't think I've ever been saved before. I owe alot to those ARGers... Surferstick, Leo Boomer, Sequoya, DorkMaster, Macavity, 5th Earth, RedKnight, TreeBiter99, HitsHerMark, Randomeis, GunslingerGulp, G3N3SIS, Greyelf... oh... so many I

** theres a pic here, Ill try to get it up **

could name. But their courage and dedication were above and beyond the call of duty.... even if they really had no clue what was going on... Well that's besides the point. The point is that I and the rest of my team were saved by them. And their actions helped us to arrest pretty much ALL of our enemies at once, as well as their ringleader, Sir Shadown... All of them got laser cuffs slapped on them, from the Wild Card Gang to The Doll Twins to the Pottsville Mafia. All of them taken down for the count. But where were we the entire time before this? Well, we got trapped inside of a computer program thanks to Sir Shadown capturing a hacker named Stephen Roberts. All 31 of us split up into separate cells, and the program feeding off of our energy, sending it into a giant cannon called "Nightmare". It would have casted darkness across the world, and thrown the balance of the universe into chaos. But, the ARGers, from their excellent puzzle solving and hacking skillz, yes, I just typed skillz, saved us, broke Project Gateway, and let us take it over from there. Heck, it wasn't until afterward that we found out that we're in a completely different dimension than them! That's right, those guys are in ANOTHER dimension! Project Gateway was tying our world and their world together! Yeah, that was a mind job for us... but

Now, I'm certain the photo is of the tower in Providence College and the mountain has been photoshoped. I guess the next step is to figure out what the mountain is called?

Howdy Disparaitra! Welcome aboard the U.S.S. ARG! Smile

However, while your point is a smart one, I don't think that (and I have been wrong) it's applicable here. I tend to think that while the date lines up nicely for the 22nd, I just don't think that the religious aspect really will play in. (The first game at least, did not have ANY political or religious undertones (at least not based in our dimension)... it was more of general allusion to regious ideas in general or political ideaologies... (does that make sense?))

Anyway, I wouldn't expect to see anything affiliated with that topic, I think that's just coincidence.

EDIT: Lainsl, it's actually been there since the "countdown" went to zero on the "rose" page earlier today. Good catch, though, and good to have you around!

Odd, it only came up after a few looks at the courage page not long ago.
Probably my cache playing games with me

still, had anyone looked into image more? As in the mountain at the top?
I have never seen images of Rhode Island or been there (being in Australia at all) so I'm not sure if there is a mountain there at all

From what I've seen, either the mountain doesn't belong in the picture or that's not a picture of PC.

Here's a link to the Rhode Island skyline (tripod hosted the image so I can't embed it here) courtesy of Google Images.

Looks like a clever doctored image to me. If you zoom in it sorta looks different. You can see what appears to be borders. Or maybe that's my eyes playing tricks on me (it's 0211 hours here, so..)

ya huh. its doctered alright. The mountain (and of course the star) is added.
but it still raises the questions - What is the town and why is it there?

did anyone hear me? i can do the droppoint. i have other ARG fans here in RI and we can hit it. just if for some crazy reason we need to talk to someone or answer a payphone i'll be screwed (with ILB i almost messed up my first live call... i was fine after the first one)

i have no idea whats going on right now so if i have to be in character or do something time sensitive i'm afraid i'll screw up..

Thanks a bunch Heucuva Smile

A dead drop you won't have to be in-game for, as far as I know, due to the fact that you'll just be picking up a package left there some time earlier by the 'guy behind the curtain'.

Thanks for being around and volunteering. Hope you stick around for the rest of the ARG Smile

Well, with all of the references to ARGs, etc in game, I think you'll be fine without even trying to be IG. Wink And, that would be great if you could do the drop! Thanks a lot~ :3

Awesome, looks like the drop is a go!

No luck on 'jerimoth'. Maybe I'm just stuck on the image.
Of course, this is my first ARG I'm getting involved in (yes, ARG virgin getting their cherry popped) so I'm prolly way off the mark
