Yeah, this is Canada remember, they might even just ask you to refrain from taking any more photos, but only if it's not too much of an inconveniance

yes I'm willing to take the risk of being thrown out if I have a wingman to continue the mission. In the mean time I'm going to figure out how to devise a method so I can bring my digicam.
Might involve taping up all the LED's with black tape so you won't be able to see them in the dark cinema. Any creative ideas are welcome guys I don't have a camera phone so that option is out of the question. I ask if anyone in Toronto has a camera phone please bring it just in case I get thrown out early.
(Yeesh I feel like I'm on a mission)

I am quite positive that the PMs will not want anyone doing anything illegal to play the game. Camera Phones cannot be a problem, and anything lit, shouldn't need a flash, so any regular camera should be fine. (It's not like you are taking 32 frame shots per second for the duration of a film, you're just snapping a pic of an (assumed) still screen shot that will likely be up before the lights go down anyway.
I don't know what the rules are in the UK, or in Canada, but I don't think anyone would even blink if someone snapped a picture with a camera phone, and even with a regular digital camera before the film started (you could always just say "I'm on vacation, and I want to remember this part!" or something, and you'd be fine.) They just want to make sure you're not interrupting the film, and not copying with video. But a still-cam, prior to the film (or afterwards?) cannot cause a problem, and I can't see any copyright/legal issue whatsoever. (mind you, I used to work in a theatre, but I am in no ways a lawyer.)

ok I'm assuming since no one else replied I'm the only one in Toronto, sigh.
Well time to pull a sylvia (make it out alive).
And if I see V I'll be sure to snap picks and take the back exit out of the theatre (now if I only knew who V looks like).
Ok now I get why the people in the UK where so excited.
anyone know what times the add will be running or is it the whole day on friday?

If all else fails, get someone to go with you and pretend you're taking a picture of them in front of the "fancy big screen". Then at the last second get them to jump out of the way...

I'm in Rochester, NY, just across the lake, and know people in Toronto. I'm working on getting myself or someone on the scene. Heck maybe I'll catch the fFerry over
/me wonders if vortex even knows about the fFerry *BWAHAHAHAHAHAA*

Lol I like that idea quite creative
if it's playing all day I might be able to make it back to T.O. by 6. Maybe a new thread should be started so we can stop crowding this one.

After hearing all of today's news, a recent article springs to mind . A ficticious animated band is going to be playing in theaters across London using some kind of holographic technology. Because of the technology and cost, this will not occur until 2007. Still, this makes me wonder if one of the following is going to happen...
A band from Perplex City plays "virtually" here in theaters--perhaps not using the more expensive holographic technology, but just using standard flat-screen projections. This could even be something very subtle--like their tracks are played as the background music while watching the slide-projector advertisements before the trailers.
A band from Perplex City plays here in real life--in which case we wait for them by the stage door and maul them in an attempt to extract the information about how they travelled here.
This is just a band from Earth that is "inspired by Perplex City" (as said on the website) and at the theaters--maybe not even in the on-screen adverts before the film. Maybe they are in the audience, attending the film. Maybe they are out front as street performers.
Maybe, just more posters and clues.
Maybe there is no band, no events, and the locations are just some kind of clues. This would royally suck because we are now kind of expecting some kind of happening.
You do have to wonder why their logo is in Pietro's notes? Is he a fan of the band? In this case, we can probably assume it really is a Perplex-City-Based band rather than an Earth based one. Is it a diagram of some kind of inter-world transport?

So perhaps an audio recording device of some sort would be in order? Just in case the clue is in the lyrics to a song or something...
One of those super tiny MP3 players with a voice recording feature should suffice, as long as you can get close enough to a speaker.
I think it's pretty doubtful that the clue will be a song, but just in case...
I'm only a 4.5 hour drive away from Toronto. This might be the closest the game gets to me... Maybe a road trip? Then again, with gas prices what they are now... Maybe not.

yeah gas prices are high....
I was going to post that I would be willing to drive anyone in the GTA but I thought about the pump and had to think again. If they happen to be "on the way" though i wouldn't mind.
I don't have a super tiny MP3 device gonna have to think of something.

as i said in a previous post i'm inclined to think that the code is in the poster, as postulated by others. I tried threcedaapproach.com/thirdpower.html and /3P.html and /thenextpower.html, hmmm... might try supernovae too, who knows maybe its something to do with syzygy

How about some celestial event that's visible from Toronto this Friday?
There are so many things it could be. I agree that we need to cover all the bases and try to decipher the posters, the web site, and make sure people are going to attend the theaters. Just in case.

I agree with the others who have posted that this poster should be a clue. Monica's message indicated we'd be finding keywords today that would lead us to a website. While there is a website flat-out given (Recedaapproach.com), I don't think that counts as a series of key words. I think we should try using the various song names as site addresses and see where that takes us.
Yet, I also doubt they would hint at a real-life event if that were just a red-herring. They wouldn't be so cruel, would they? Possibly, as others have suggested, there will be more key words given this Friday.
Ooooh! Maybe the PMs will be nice to us all, and there will be key words given over a series of weeks in several different locations! CENTRAL FLORIDA!

Beit So where was everyone? Was hoping to meet some project-heads. Has anyone mentioned that there were posters in the surrounding streets around Beit? So anyone working on the theory that there are discrepancies between different prints should be aware... Have some pictures if anyone needs them.

If you have pics it'd be great if you could upload them to the forum But only if they are different to the one we have on the first post. Lord knows we don't need 20 pics of the same poster
